Bill was originally in the class of 65. I knew him through TKE and Cpt Dishaws C Company in my rook year. He was an engineering student that needed to come back for an extra year. A smart, intellegent, good humored guy who had a lot of friends and brothers in the class of 65. He did not have to come back to the cadet corps for that final year.....but he did. That's just the way he was. Finish something you start. I write this trubute to Billy for all of you in the class of 66 who didn't get to know him that well.
Bill Alhum was my roommate during my sophomore year. He was the first person I ever lost, and to this day he brings tears to my eyes when I remember the day I learned of his death.
Bill was an upper classman to class of 1966 students and was my big brother when I was a TKE pledge. He was one of the best individuals that I have known in my life, and his death was hard for me to deal with. Bill was a kind, friendly, down to earth person. He married his girl friend of many years upon graduation. I don't know if they had a child on the way when he was killed.
