I always knew Eric was a "fire" child! It is so good to see the activity "brewing" here on this site......and on Facebook! Imagine trying to do this even just 10 years ago! I just had a great "chat" via FB with Steve Smilek too.
The new MHS is nice. Not really "new" anymore! But there is something majestic about our ole' alma mater! I drive by it frequently.......still looks fine........like the Class of '79!! (That was too good to pass up.....quick gagging please!)
Lookin' forward to reconnecting with others soon.

Karen and Charles.......send me names or whatever for me to help....

Don't go by little Pat any more? What kind of can of worms did I open with that? Eric a pyro? What made the banana explode? Looked like a seed popped. Find Jeff Hainsworth. Bring him in to the circle. Yes this site is awesome. I can ramble and people are listening. What next?

Pat Dodson (Tricia --I Dont Go By "Little Pat" Anymore :) )

Charles! yes, you did open a can of worms with "little Pat" haha...seriously, I never grew past 5'1" and my Mum is named Pat and I hated being called "little Pat" at 18, especially since everyone else is taller than me.

I changed to Tricia at 18 and it sounds weird being called Pat but not offensive ;)

I am really enjoying hearing from everyone and reading y'alls bios! Its fun to see what has happened over 30 years and what direction people have taken in their lives.

Kim, you are very kind! Thank you! I appreciate the support!

Thanks again to all for being so welcoming and I really am looking forward to seeing everyone.

I will be in VA the first week of June if anyone wants to get together. I know I am going to see Wanda Nash Putney! I cant wait!

Hugs to you all,
Tricia

Hey Tricia the author formerly known as LP!
Just ordered your book on Amazon - it sounds like a Hoot -ie and the Blowfish! Can't wait to share it with my 3 drinking clubs disguised as Book clubs! I am happy to report that I "hooked" a Marlin (at the beach, no less) - had to date a lot of guppies first - either I changed my bait or my fishing pier - but it did work! Really excited to get you to sign my copy at the Reunion! love, Muffin

I look forward to seeing you in Sept!

I had forgotten all about our pre-school cocktail parties. Thinking about them brought back the memory when I had too much fun at one and had it all come back up in study hall. Told the teacher I must have had some spoiled milk on my morning cereal and got sent to the nurse who sent me home. I drove myself home, wow, how things have changed.
Thanks for dredging up that memory.

Does anyone have pictures from the 10-Year Reunion? It would be a hoot to see all us ladies with our big hair and enormous shoulder pads. Guys, I bet you all have Khakis and Oxford shirts on, sporting your Sperry's. (Thankfully classic men's fashions haven't change much over the decades!)

03/18/09 02:51 PM #63

Betcey Ventrella

Oh, my! I thought all of y'all were the GOOD kids! I am shocked - SHOCKED, I tell ya!
I spent my mornings in someone else's van, and our morning breakfast club was, let's just say . . . a different substance.
How any of us made it through and turned out OK is a mystery to me!

Well I am shocked! I don't remember seeing any of you in the parking lot or smoking area.I guess thats because I was pretty you know f---ed up by the time I got to that place uh you no school. What a shame that most of my memories center around weed, well those were the times.

Guess i'll just jump right on up in here, since the topic is interesting. Morning activities were mind expanding to say the least. But the highlight of the day was lunch at Mr. Submarine on Hull Street which was a couple of blocks down from our school. A few of us (no names mentioned) enjoyed lunch out everyday before going out to Chesterfield Tech for the second half of the school day. After lunch was a trip to the 7-11 for a cold twelve
pack . Everyone arrived at Tech in a good mood and eager to learn about Automotive Technology. Unbelievable that in the future these would be the people that we put our trust in to keep our family safe on the road.

Now to make this site that Karen created for us (Thanks Karen!) even more exciting I propose starting a "Flashback Friday". The other evening I was thinking about some of the wild and crazy shit that I used to do in my younger years and wonder how I survived........
Ok I know that it's only Wednesday but might as well kick it off..................One Thursday evening arriving at "I Dont Know Either" up in Stratford Hills the music was thumping out into the parking lot, playing was Donna Summers song Bad Girls and the place was packed. It took about 30 minutes just to get in because the line was so long. Finally made it inside and headed to the bar for a cold one. Turning around and taking a gulp of that ice cold beer, who did I spot out on the middle of the dance floor? The next morning in Government class Barbara Lewis and I just smiled at each other, nothing said........What a cool teacher!
Charles, if you share a interesting tidbit with us, I will on the next "Flashback Friday" share how I wrecked my Camaro racing Mark Hamilton driving Ellen Nichols Firebird on Pocoshock Blvd.....interested?

Lin- I always enjoy all the stories so bring em on!

Wow! The submarine shop down on hull street is where my older sister sherry worked when she was going to MHS ;)

I went to tech too and do remember eating lunch out.

I was such a goodie, goodie nerd in school-I never did drugs but did drink alcohol because my Mum is English and are downstairs was decorated like a pub.

I dont drink now, just never liked the taste; no drugs either hmmmm--listening to y'alls stories, maybe I missed out :0)

Hi Tricia! I've been enjoying your book! Funny! I can't say my husband wants me to continue reading bits out to him during the next couple days when THE EARTH STOPS SPINNING - MARCH MADNESS! I mean, it gets crazy here - I truly married the all time sports NUT!!!! What kind of fish is that? Good thing is he has always coached our kids in every sport - baseball, basketball, football until high school, of course, which he says he wants to do whenever I let him quit his job! Anyway, I was wondering about the MUM - now I know, your mom is from across the Pond! Cool!

And let's be clear - there was no eating of Muffins in the back of Eric's van - good Lord - this site may have to be censored after all! And, for the record, I do not recall (famous politician phrase) making it a weekly event - but not that it wouldn't have been delightful!! Toodles! Muffin

03/18/09 11:09 PM #70

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Oh and Lin - I love that Richmond had 2 bars - I Don't Know and I Don't Know Either - Right? Or am I crazy? MUFFIN (don't answer that!)

03/18/09 11:22 PM #71

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Right Mark! And now to have kids at THAT age - driving, parties - it's Back to the Future or something! During the election (the most recent) I would come home from volunteering and grab my new favorite - Bud light Lime - and sit and watch Fox every night - some role model! Oh, wait isn't that what husbands do in the old stereotype? Alas, I now have to check the refrig out in the garage - that gets a little difficult since I'm also forgetful - yikes wonder if that has anything to do with it? Nah!! Muffin
