Still high school? Okay. Stand back. I still have a few tricks up my sleve. I wish you could see my shit eatin' grin right now.

Hi Kim.... I just sent a list of 26 people that I found (that haven't registered yet) to your Yahoo e-mail address. Please check your junk folder in case it doesn't come through. Some are them are the parent's phone numbers, but that might be the only way to find them now. (These are people who either still live in the Richmond area, or their parents do). Have a great weekend.... Maynard

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to wish y'all a wonderful, sunny, warm weekend! I am sending California sunshine your way!

Well, we had over a foot of snow in Colorado yesterday. Today the sun is shining, the sky is a brilliant blue, and there's not a cloud in the sky. Cold as a mofo, but beeeutiful!

I always think Colorado looks best in snow.

That said - I sure do miss the dogwoods and redbuds and beautiful flowering trees of springtime in Richmond!

Brian: I can see how a hapless parent can innocently bumble into being an embarrassment :) Good save on making her laugh about it. That really takes me back to how easily flustered adolescent girls are!

Julie, yes even going through it years ago with my son who is now 24 and my daughter who is 22. We make it fun every chance we get. I did pick up my youngest daughters phone and threatened to text her boy friend. She chased me around the house for awhile!

I actually spoke with Denny Burchette about a month or so back. I am surprised he has not registered. I am going to leave the classmate finding to the elite detectives. I have a song list to work on. Keep up the great work! This party is going to be as legendary as a DeOrio party.

Did any of you Richmonders see the big flash or hear the house shaking boom that has Tidewater all in an uproar? It happened aroun 9:45 pm last night. At first "they" were saying it was a meteor streaking across the sky at super-sonic speed, now they are saying it was "Russian space junk". All I know is - it was seen and felt from the middle-penninsula all the way down the outter banks to Hatteras (from what I've heard). It shook people's houses "like someone dropped a wrecking ball on the roof"!

We get that kind of stuff all the time down here. We call it the Space Shuttle. Feels like an earthquake on takeoff and sounds like 2 cannon blasts on the way down as it goes sub sonic.

Might be God playing ping pong.

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

We get that sound up here every time Barney Frank "tries" to speak and instead sputters and spits all over the hearing room in the House - sorry I am in a bad mood! Which is about every day now! Ha - I promise to be cheerful at the reunion - just keep filling my RED WINE glass! Muffin

We are all going to need some red wine before long. The shit is about to hit the fan in the land of the free. Fema camps are being set up. The military is training for martial law. There is even rumor that the fed is going to take over banks as early as August. I don't want to be a pessimist, but I don't think we will recognize our country in September. I hope I am wrong. Say a prayer for Denise Mancini. She is still in London. They are protesting in the streets there over the G20 meeting. Buy a gun! Buy it now!

and a big AMEN to that, brother!

Hi Karen, I was looking at the 20yr reunion photo's. Looks like it was great, can't remember what we were doing that we weren't able to attend, but I had to laugh, I see my old neighbor, Jerry St.John in a couple of Pic's and his name isn't on them. What's cute is, it looks like he is thinking, oh no, I'm in the picture! There are actually 2 photo's with him in it. Hope he deosn't see this and want to strangle me...Picture 11. The one with Johnny Atwell and Greg Little. He is on the far right, blue shirt. He is also in one a few pic's after that one. Hope we can make this reunion.

I saw Jerry in the pictures too, The last I heard from him (5+ years ago) he was working at the post office. Anybody have any newer news.
Never can forget the year Swelnis got him to come out for football, the funny thing is I think he really liked it.

Mark DeOrio

Hey Eric, remember after the Thomas Dale game (I think?), and Swelnis had us running 100 yd. sprints for the whole practice? We all had our tongues hanging on the ground, and Jerry got so pissed off. I remember him saying, “If this A-hole makes us run another one of these, I’m out of here!” Well Swelnis seemed to always know just how far he could push us because it was right at that moment he called practice over. I know Jerry would have walked.

Mark
I try to block those times out of my memory. Lineman and 100 yard sprints just did not mix. I remember one day during two a days, I had been out drinking the night before and I think Coach Richardson knew it and he ran me until I tossed my cookies then he said, "OK now that we have that out of the way can we get back to practice." That was the last time I drank the night before two a days, now the afternoon before two a days was a different story.

Eric and Mark- good gracious talk about good and painful memories. Remember the quote "If you are a quarterback the woods are full of them"!!! Poor Jay. That was after I think one of your (Mark) infamous parties. Of course we all remember the "broken clip board episode", thank goodness Mark you had your helmet on. Yes , Eric you were very smart about the over partaking before 2 a days-I wish I had taken the same attitude. We paid for our fun in one way or another through out junior and senoir years. Of course we would be bedridden for days now if we tried any of that stuff again.

My uncle sent this to me and I thought I would post it as a laugh for the day!

Politically correct....
Due to the climate of political correctness now pervading America, Kentuckians, Tennesseans and West Virginians will no longer be referred to as "HILLBILLIES."

You must now refer to them as APPALACHIAN-AMERICANS.

And furthermore .

HOW TO SPEAK ABOUT WOMEN AND BE POLITICALLY CORRECT:

1 She is not a "BABE" or a "CHICK" - She is a "BREASTED AMERICAN."

2. She is not "EASY" - She is "HORIZONTALLY ACCESSIBLE."

3. She is not a "DUMB BLONDE" - She is a "LIGHT-HAIRED DETOUR OFF THE INFORMATION SUPERHIGHWAY."

4. She has not "BEEN AROUND" - She is a "PREVIOUSLY-ENJOYED COMPANION."

5 . She does not "NAG" you - She becomes "VERBALY REPETITIVE."

6. She is not a "TWO-BIT HOOKER" - She is a "LOW COST PROVIDER."

HOW TO SPEAK ABOUT MEN AND BE POLITICALLY CORRECT:

1. He does not have a "BEER GUT" - He has developed a "LIQUID GRAIN STORAGE FACILITY."

2. He is not a "BAD DANCER" - He is "OVERLY CAUCASIAN."

3. He does not "GET LOST ALL THE TIME" - He "INVESTIGATES ALTERNATIVE DESTINATIONS."

4. He is not "BALDING" - He is in "FOLLICLE REGRESSION."

5. He does not act like a "TOTAL ASS" - He develops a case of RECTAL-CRANIAL INVERSION."

6. It's not his "CRACK" you see hanging out of his pants - It's "REAR CLEAVAGE."

I want to give a big thanks to Kim Willard, Beth Davis, Maynard Dodson, Eric Felland, Mark Light and Charles Robertson (aka Chaz) for all the work they have done finding classmates!!! Did I leave anyone off?

Thank God for good help! :O)

Wow! Tommy Daughtrey has done some really interesting stuff. Judging from his profile, maybe he can get Cher or the Village People to perform at our reunion...

04/02/09 09:46 PM #145

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Sorry that I am being lazy and NOT helping find classmates but I DID notice that classmate Peggy Puckett is manager of a liquor store - so is that helpful? Anyone? Anyone???

I can use my lobbying skills with her if needed!

Have a great weekend!

Actually I will help - just kidding for the implication that I wouldn't - does that make sense - after red wine with mom-in-law? Oh - I read her (mom - in -law) the funny politically correct jokes - she's from (originally) KY so she liked the first one!
