Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Hi Brian and Peter - Details, details!! The "smile" study did not mention the "no Picture" factor - Not an important variable since THERE IS NO SMILE TO "STUDY" IF YOU ARE NOT THERE!! - really, you guys like giving me those trick questions!!! And, Brian I am gathering from your comment that the study was "on the money?" Anyway, Kim, I am with you - I just really can't wait til our reunion! I do think we had a really good class because people were generally good-natured (or high as I am discovering! -HA!) Anyway, I also felt like there were a good number of us that were in that school system since early years and to me that is comforting - okay, am I getting sappy? Just wait til I've had, as Kim says, "a glass or two"! later gator for now

Karen Stanley (Shortridge)

Muffin, I think I will post here what I emailed you...
after this class reunion is over, I am going to become an activist for Christian Rights! Anyone want to be a "Daniel" with me? We'll 'prolly get arrested and stuff. Oh, joy. Well, somebody's got to do it, so it might as well be me.

Brian Pennington

Muffin, Money, what is that. Nope my comment was not about money. I guess I was trying to be funny. Oh, I was wondering if the study addressed 1st,2nd or 3rd marraige! HA LOL ! Plenty of smiles now.

I know, Brian! I got your drift!! Was just teasing you!! Oh, and here's another study: Using Facebook (by students) doesn't likely cause poor grades - using Facebook MAY be a symptom of procrastination, not a cause. This study countered another study which kind of said the opposite - which just goes to show what WE ALL KNOW - Believe what you want - somewhere a "study" will back you up! Ha!! Okay, I'm rambling! (And not making dinner!) See ya! P.S. - Love your spirit Karen and thanks again for your help!

Karen. I'm game but you have to tell me what a prolly is first.

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Hey Mark - Very secret stuff, those "prollys" - I mean, Karen, I don't know if he is ready!?!!

04/23/09 07:45 AM #203

Karen Stanley (Shortridge)

LOL- Mark, 'prolly is the way little kids say "probably".

I'm tainted by my continued, intense exposure to little ones in the school system. :O}

Muffin... whatdaya think? Is he ready?

Dawn Boldt (Brown)

I was just reading through all of the pages, evidently have been disengaged over the past few weeks and missed a lot.

Kim - we actually got that shop teacher fired remember? He was such a squeeby guy and was always inappropriate with us girls...

I will not comment one way or the other for you Palin supporters. But, I look forward to discussing this at the reunion, because it mystifies me that people see any value-add there.

High School memories... do you guys remember coming to my house in the mornings on the way to school? It was because of my brother Larry, not really me, but many of you were there... you can't deny it. If you recall.. I was only kick out of school for getting drunk at 7 am... cause thats how I roll...
Thankfully, I keep my cocktail hours to just the more social hours of the evening on the weekend.

How about how we use to bake in the sun with those silver reflective solar pannels to optimize our tanning. Susie Hix and I use to lay out in my driveway on the blacktop with those things and our bottle of "sun in" for our hair. ahhh.. memories.

Dawn, just so you know it wasn't about Larry all the time, I alway valued you as a friend. Sorry you didn't have time to stop and that I didn't see you. Always a pleasure to see and talk with you. Muffin - Karen I'm ready for anything so let it rip, I may surprise you.Ok maybe I'm being a little cocky in saying anything.

Dawn Boldt (Brown)

Mark, thanks for the positive message. I think I see you around most often, so I am sure I will bump into you again soon.

04/24/09 12:44 PM #207

Steve Smilek

Dawn, It's true as Mark says, we weren't there just for Larry. We also wanted to see you running around in your nities!

04/25/09 12:10 AM #208

Mark Harold

Well Steve that's very true but I wasn't going to go there.

OK MY little News Flash - I was fortunate to have my brother, Bobby's friends, class of 76, around and about our house from time to time. I had a MAJOR crush on Scott Barbour and finally years later when I was working at the National Republican Senatorial Committee a DASHING gentleman caller came to take me to lunch in his Naval Officer's uniform - can you imagine all the Republican chicks being quite impressed? (Scott attended the Naval Academy and retired as a Captain) I know I was secretly smiling and winking my way out of the building! Yes, Dawn, a Sarah Palin Wink - you betcha!!!!!!!!!

04/26/09 12:31 AM #210

Mark Harold

Muffin, you go girl with the Sarah Palin thing. As a father of three girls I can't wait till a women ( Republican ) is elected VP or higher. That in my mind is real change.

04/26/09 10:13 PM #211

Charles Robertson

Wow! I have missed a lot. Sarah Palin for President? Sure. Christian rights? Wait a minute. I'm loading my shotgun. Dawn Boldt in her nighties? If I had only known. I think the thing that made our class so interesting was the fact most of us had known each other since J.A. Chalkley. We were close. We still are. We will always be.

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Yeah Mark!! Glad to hear your girls are on the "right" side and Chas you made my day - too funny!! Have a good one - it's getting to be that lovely VA summery weather - I am SURE Tricia Dodson is missing it - HA!!!

04/27/09 10:01 PM #213

Pat Dodson (Tricia --I Dont Go By "Little Pat" Anymore :) )

YES...MISSING THE VA SUMMER WEATHER. HaHa...

Glad it warmed up there. It was in the high 90s here last week and is down to more spring like weather.

Thanks for thinking of ME Muffin! :)

Muffin Williamson (Wilson)

Hey Kim - now that I've been "outed" why the heck NOT invite Captain Barbour - I'm sure his lovely wife would be happy to have him out of the house (with dinner served) for a night! :) And, Tricia, we're ALWAYS thinking of our West Coasters! :)back at ya!!!!!

04/30/09 03:39 PM #215

Kim Willard (Kruger)

Muffin- NO NAMES MENTIONED! He was in the same class as my brother, I'm guessing your brother did also. I think I read that somewhere along the line, that he graduated in '76.

04/30/09 03:56 PM #216

Donna Chenery (Everhart)

Hey, Kim, I had it bad for your brother Steve during summer school one year. Can we invite him to the reunion? And can he still do gymnastics (please pardon the little fantasy I'm brewing here)?

04/30/09 11:31 PM #217

Sharon Robertson (Williamson)

People, people - remember that Muffin was voted "Most Argumentative" - something I've had to live with for 30+ years. Since she was also voted "Most Friendly" - it kind of balances out over time :-) Do not start an argument with her - you will NOT win!!!

Sharon Robertson (Williamson)

And Steve Willard was in my brother's class I thought. 1975? Walter Robertson. Steve was hot!

I've been thinking about buying a new Chrysler now that they're under new ownership.

Mark parking would not be a problem. Just sweep it into your briefcase and dispose of it at the office. I am sure that its biodegradable because the govn't made it. Now instead of parking decks they may need to provide car vending machines. The last time a govn't made a vehicle I believe it was the VW, I am not sure but I don't think we cared for the leader of the that country at that time.

Steve was definitely class of '76. He is still a nice looking guy. He loves to surf. I still like watching him on the trampoline. It's amazing that an 'old man' can still jump so high.
