I remember Ramona as pretty much one of the most intelligent persons I ever knew.
We were in elementary school together.
I was in the hospital with asthma (in March 1988) when my Mom brought me the article about her loss.
All I have to add for now is that I-80 needs to be sanded much more than it was/is and that a tunnel to Laramie would be a good idea to prevent future accidents/tragedies. The tunnel could be through the worst part of I-80 where the wind and snow and ice are the worst, near the summit.
We all miss you, Ramona!!!

I think of Ramona often because we took ski lessons together at Medicine Bow Ski Area which is now Snowy Range. I think we were in Jr. High. Our instructor told us "you girls now had the skills to be great skiers, all you need is many, many miles under your belt." I specifically remember getting off the T-Bar lift with Ramona, turning to the Right and following her down a black run. I have now lived in Jackson Hole for 20 years. I have had the opportunity to get those many, many miles of skiing under my belt. I feel thankful for every turn I make, because I've been so fortunate to make them. I often think, "Ramona, this turn is for you!" It feels sad to write this, but nice to have wonderful memories.

Ramona was the most incredible person I ever knew.  She was so smart, witty and had more passion for life than most people you will ever meet.  I was pretty shy and a recluse, but Ramona really had a huge impact on me in jr. high.  Ramona taught me to laugh at myself, which is probably one of the most important things I learned.  Ramona also got me so stinkin' drunk a few times in highschool that I'm surprised I didn't get kicked off the VB/BB/Track teams.  And she never made fun of me for being in band.  Ramona roomed with Stephanie Troyer(Brocker) and my sister at UW.  They were great friends.  That girl made a huge imprint on them, as well as everyone that met her.      Bye Mona - we still miss you.
