Attended OU-C, worked at Highway Dept. and Mead Research. Post-retirement work with Synergetic Design as part of a storm response team. Work has included Hurricanes Katrina/Rita/Gustav & Ike.
38 years in Boy Scouts; attended 1957 World Jamboree, touring Western Europe.
Served in US Army Reserves 1966-72. Enjoyed years of rebuilding and painting cars, especially vintage VW's. Current hobbies are Western Square dance, hoe down square dance, Civil War period dancing. Enjoy camping and travel. We have see most of the 50 states. We maintain two sections of the Buckeye Trail, and house long distance hikers.

During the 1959 flood, our Explorer Scout group was activated to fill and place sandbags along the Scioto, at Riverside Street. We spent a week cleaning mud from homes in the east end.

My highschool car was a 1935 Chevy coupe with no fenders. Wherever I drove I carried a bucket to put under the leaking radiator overflow when I stopped, to pour the water back in when I started again. I was dating Sonja Poole, my first wife in that car. If my grades dropped, my folks took away my driving privileges and I was back on my bicycle.
