                                                        Merlyn  Roberts

 Being a successful entrepreneur for 22 years and the current treasurer of Sistas Of The Soil organization, Merlyn Roberts knows all there is to know about finance and business.
 She is the proud owner of All Rides Taxi, Med Aide Services , Dingo's and Hot Curry Restaurants.
A sista  of Jamaican soil, Merlyn migrated to the United States in 1986 and has not slowed down one bit since.
She has been very successful in her endeavors and attribute her success to God, her strong Caribbean roots and  her motto that "hard work and discipline, kill no one."

 Apart from being a successful entrepreneur , Merlyn is also a  very devoted mother and friend and yet finds the time to be personally involved in various charitable organization, pledging consistently to the wellbeing of her community through financial contributions and her time.  
She is very physically active, enjoys dancing, skating, tending to her well manicured lawn and gardens, and  taking care of her four best friends - her dogs

                                                            Heidi  McFarlane

 

 Heidi Mcfarlane has evidenced great discipline and skill in the fields of case management and mental health counseling. As a case manager/discharge planner she has worked as an extremely resourceful and dedicated individual in the psych and medical arena. She serves as an advocate and liaison between patients, insurance companies, providers of health care services and social service agencies.

 As a Mental Health counselor specialist she has worked with individuals, families, groups, couples and community services to promote optimal mental health and well-being. She is able to conduct educational/therapeutic treatment of individuals or groups suffering from mental health or emotional issues. She sustains a work ethic that focuses on fair and equitable treatment and associate satisfaction to enable overall success. She holds a Paralegal certificate, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences, minor in Psychology, and a Masters of Education degree in Counselor Education from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. 

As a doctoral researcher with Capella University, she is currently working on research study, using qualitative data analysis to look at the individual differences and lived experiences of successful black female entrepreneurs.  She holds professional memberships in the American Counseling Association, Society For Human Resource Management, Society For Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and she serves as an American Red Cross Disaster volunteer.
