Kent Darr

Sept. 16, 1927 - Sept. 26, 1978

Kent Darr was born on Sept. 16, 1927 in Fremont, Ohio.  He was a graduate of Findlay College and Indiana University.  He was a teacher and basketball coach at Celina from 1955 to 1957, and then moved to Coldwater where he was a math teacher and coach from 1958 to 1978.  At Coldwater he was the head basketball coach, assistant football coach and established the high school track team.  He was also the acting superintendent for a time.  Mr. Darr had retired in 1978 because of illness,  and died at his residence of cancer after being seriously ill for eleven weeks.  He was survived by his wife, Marilyn, sons Kevin and Chris and two grandchildren.  Also surviving were two sisters. 

Funeral service was held at Coldwater United Methodist Church and the body then taken to Fremont for burial.
