Brian Muskus, age 74, died on November 30,2020 at his residence in Fort Walton Beach, Florida of natural causes.  He was born on July 1, 1946 in Celina, Ohio to Frank and Ruth (Forsthoefel) Muskus.  Brian is survived by twin daughters, Francesca and Briana Muskus, adopted children Katie, David and Theresa Muskus, and a brother Barry (Debbie) Muskus.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brian was a 1964 graduate of Coldwater High School and was the class valedictorian.  He earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering in 1968 from the University of Notre Dame.  He also received an M.S. degree in Aerospace-Mechanical Engineering in 1973 from the United States Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.

Following a distinguished twenty-four year career in the Air Force, Brian retired in 1992.  He was an aerospace engineer in three of his assignments, flew both C-130 and AC-130 aircraft for eleven years and commanded a Logistics Squadron during his tour of service.  

After his retirement from the military, Brian worked for Allied Signal Corporation in Tokyo, Japan for fourteen years.  His duties included providing technical and logistical support to many of the airlines in South East Asia.  

Brian returned to Ohio in 2007 and spent four years teaching algebra and trigonometry at Edison Community College in Piqua, Ohio.  His third retirement took him back to his home in Fort Walton Beach, Florida where he resided until his death.  He remained active in the Florida Panhandle in many military retiree associations.  Throughout his world travels, his love for Notre Dame never wavered.  

His remains were interred at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Florida.
