Thus far, I have only been a "peeper" to this forum. The 2/14 event is close to my side of town (and I love, love, love live music!) so I plan to join you guys. Not sure if anyone remembers me but I think I will be able to recognize you by the pictures posted on this site. (And Terri and Tina have not changed much!!)

Hope to see you soon.

GET THIS!!!!!! Kelly went to the Doctor and what the Doctor's told her was a "Mass" that had grown from 5mm to 8mm in 30 days is "SCAR TISSUE". 99% sure. However, they are still concerned about the rapid growth of the Scar tissue and surgery has not been ruled out. They are constantly going through UPS and DOWNS. Ms. Noe said that she was on powerful steriods. She is feeling good though. WOW ! If you get the chance, send Kelly a Valentine ! She LOVES and gets excited about anything we send her. She does not have internet access, so can't enjoy this site. Wouldn't this website be lots of company for her ? Have a great weekend. Love to all !

Just wanted to pop in and say thank you for your well wishes, support and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. The kindness that some of you have shown myself and Victoria has been overwhelming. I am deeply touched as I didn't think that anyone would remember me from NC.

Just curious - does anyone use the chat room function?

May you each find blessings in the small things in life. Take care friends -

Hello everybody. Thank you all so much for the kind and inspiring birthday wishes! I am so thankful to have reunited with so many of my old (no pun intended!) friends. Many thanks to Rick Cosper for putting this great web-site together for us all.

It is really amazing to think in 1 year that I will be a half of a century old. I feel so blessed to have such a great family and to have reconnected with so many of my North Clayton Eagle Friends. Love to you all, and thank you all again.

Hi Guys,

Been awhile since I had time to chatter here. I hope all are doing great. Gotta say the birthday wishes are great but as mine is only a couple of months off I have to refer to Kim's remark that we are almost 50......oh good grief how did that happen????? Of course I will take 50 over 20 all day long.

Don't think we will be able to make the Valentine's Day party but hope those who do have a wonderful time! Billy I am sure the band is awesome and the party will be too. Take care all, Becky

UPDATE: I called tonight and they told me the cover charge is $5.00 and that you can eat in the Bar area with sandwiches, burgers, fries, etc... instead of the $30 buffet !!! It's up to you. Billy suggests we still call and make reservations for the Band, so he can try and pull tables together for us as a group!! Ask for the NCHS group. It's like pre-ordering tickets ! Do not be discouraged, we are unable to make "full" reservations due to prior credit card approval for a group. If we commit to a credit card, and anyone does not show up, then we'd have to pay, so we dropped the reservations as a group! Just tell them to add you to the list ! Phone # is 770-971-4770. Call ahead! Any questions let me know, thanks and Billy and the Band members are very excited, can't wait!! If you wish to speak to Billy, his number is 770-910-4026. also posted above this message, thanks! So far, the following have confirmed, with some tentative? Rick Cosper Sandee Cosper Mark Ward Nicki Ward Robin Denard Fouts Terry Matlock Kim Couch Bartlett Kelli Drummond Winters Tim Winters Susan Newton Gann Martha Harris Kerlin Ronnie Kerlin Dave Fowler Tina Sargeant Andrew Dickman Beth Dickman Kenny Dillard Patti Perrin Goss Rodney Goss Brad Avery Deborah Avery Janine Casner (Buckley) Danny Cameron Kim Smiley Cameron Collette Wayda Wilson Jayson Wilson Possibles: Donna Sparrow? Liz Yates? Marcy Joiner? Please let us know if you are planning to join in the "parade" from the Ward's Man Cave (car pool) so we will not leave your behiney... behind! Plan on meeting us there between 6:30 and 7pm.

Rick Cosper

Hi guys. I haven't had a chance to get on here as much as I would like to but I'm glad everyone is still visiting through this website.

I need to address some complaints I’ve received over the past few days about things being said on this message board and through emails. I knew this was bound to happen once classmates started posting their political beliefs and some personal things were posted after the reunion.

I’ve also been asked if I can block email addresses so certain classmates couldn’t email another classmate.

This website was created for every member of the North Clayton Class of 78 so we could all reconnect, talk about old times, brag about our kids, plan our reunion, plan get togethers and just have some fun talking and kidding around with friends after a long hard day at work. It was not intended to be a place where people could argue, insult and hurt other classmates feelings.

All I ask is that everyone please take into consideration that even though you may want to express your feeling toward something you believe in, others are not always going to agree with your beliefs.
If you have a problem with a classmate, please don’t air your feeling towards that person on this website or email them. If you feel that strongly, call them on the phone and do it between the two of you.

Good Rules Of Thumb:
Once you post something personal, it isn't personal any longer.
Once you post your political or religious beliefs your asking for an augment.
If you don’t have anything nice to say about a classmate, don’t say anything to them or about them.

I’m afraid that if this continues the ones that truly enjoy this website for what it was intended for are going to be the ones that loss out because this website will die out very quickly.

Please don't think I'm pointing fingers, I'm not. It's not up to me to say who is right or wrong. I just felt that this would be better addresses on this message board than through an email to the entire class.

Thanks
Rick

Peggy Daniel (Cawthon)

One upon a time, there were 4 friends talking together in a local park. Suzie, Sally, Fred and TJ were having a really nice conversation about what they thought the town should do about a local vagrant. While they were having this nice conversation between friends, 2 other mutual friends walked up to join the group. Upon entering the group Betty Lou and Billy Bob didn't like what was being discussed. So, they told everyone in the group that they didn't think they should be discussing the vagrant and since they had joined the group, they told everyone that they had to stop talking about the vagrant and discuss something else. Suzie, Sally, Fred and TJ were shoked that their "friends" would be so rude in dictating what they should or should not be discussing. So, they told Betty Lou and Billy Bob that they should probably take a walk and let them finish their discussion. But Betty Lou and Billy Bob were determined to make them change their topic of conversation. Betty Lou and Billy Bob really irritated the others in being so demanding, and impeding on their rights to discuss this issue openly. Suzie, Sally, Fred and TJ were having such a good conversation between them, there was no arguing between them, so they couldn't understand why Betty Lou and Billy Bob felt like they had the authority to just walk up and take control of the topic of discussion.

A better way to have handled this situation:
Suzie, Sally, Fred and TJ were having a really nice conversation about what they thought the town should do about a local vagrant. While they were having this nice conversation between friends 2 other mutual friends walked up to join the group. Upon entering the group, Betty Lou and Billy Bob didn't like what was being discussed. So, since Betty Lou and Billy Bob didn't want to talk about the vagrant but did wish to have a conversation with the group, they told the group that they would take a walk around the park and would like to discuss another topic later.Wow, see how that worked?! Friends respecting other friends about what they do or do not wish to discuss. So, the group decided to finish up their conversation in time for their return from their walk, because they really liked Betty Lou and Billy Bob and wanted to talk with them and involve them in another conversation.
The End

Hey Rick! Well said. Heard any news on little Adam, Rick Wingate's son? By the way, thanks for the update on Kelli and wow, it's great to see Patricia on here! Wish we could get Kelli a computer so she could come on the forum and express her most gracious inspirational comments and thankful words, she is truly a fallen Angel, still so very positive after all she has been through. She continues to keep the faith and loves every moment she has ! Pam - how is work for you, didn't you start back? You are also an inspiration to us all ! Hoping things go your way this year, you certainly deserve it. We do survive every moment, after all, except the last one. Let's have some fun while we can ! ... "cause we can!" PS: Rick - what songs are you singing Sat night? ;-)
