1/29/2012  Frances Ellen McCloskey , 69, of Maquoketa, formerly of Dayton, Ohio, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Visitation is Saturday, Feb. 4, 1:30-2:30 p.m. at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a service will be held. Pastor Jason Lang will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.

Frances McCloskey was born April 17, 1942, in Dayton to Thomas and Agnes Schad McCloskey. She graduated from Colonel White High School. She worked for Elder Beerman for over 30 years until retirement. She moved to Iowa eight years ago to be close to family. Frances was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa. Surviving are sisters, Mary (Bob) Stauffer of Eldridge and Patricia McCloskey of Livingston, Tenn.; a niece, a nephew, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
