Cheryl,
I'm pretty sure you've never been to the "Hooters" I'm referring to...and neither have I. Although you could certainly be a "Hooters girl "if you wanted to. Are you getting the picture now?
ps love the garden photos. Have you ever grown society garlic? It has a beautiful delicate purple bloom and will act like a ground cover...at least it does out here. (I think I'm in zone 9).

xoxo Lisa

I don’t know about the Hooters/Hoovers either Lisa-I’m lost. thanks for the compliments on the garden-a work and labor in progress for sure.

You know, I have always wanted to grow garlic. I’ll look for it - ground cover is a good thing-less weeds!!

I love your mexican flowers which seem to be a cover also. Can I grow those here??

Have to go to bed! buona notte!

the only difference between "hooters" and "hoovers" is the letters TV, so i think this is a conspiracy by the TV networks.

I didn't do well in physics, so in my mind, gravity is more a guideline than an absolute principle. And speaking of physics, I remember senior year we had a teacher that didn't like me, and so to prove it, I copied one of john o'connell's labs word for word and handed it in. He got an A and I got a C. Yeah, he was a lot smarter than me and ended up going to fordham and then yale law, but for that moment, I proved the point. And speaking of old friends, we have one of my wife's best friends from college and her family in from california. We all went to the same school and I took her to a sophomore dance. Their kids are the same ages as ours. Really weird seeing your HS/college friends' kids grow up and be ready for college. Anyway, too much wine... Have a good night. Bill

I hear you on that one Bill, too much Margaritas for me too!!
I'm involved with a rugby pull, the pull takes us to different pubs, bars each week, and I hate to admit it, but I have been to Hoovers and yes, to Hooters as well, Florida and North Carolina, both on a rugby tour. Oh my gosh, I can't believe I said that...haaaaa....

Hope everyone is doing well, talk with you all soon, I like reading all the posts. I feel left out with all you guys yakking....so I thought I would just chime in...

Bill,

Nice one..... AGAIN!!!

Though I don't know why the parents wouldn't bring the kid back there. I'm certain they wouldn't let that happen again, at least not to the same kid!! Right???

hi guys and gal pals -
maureen - you are the ultimate host - i felt immediately at home on sunday and the food and drink were plentiful and delicious (really dug those baked beans - some of us have turned out to be great cooks)(and maureen has the best longaberger collection in the lower 48 states) but the best part was the company...warning to all: watch out for the reunion, DON'T MISS IT...because you will be missing one of the best and most memorable times of your life...it's like 30 years were wiped away in a single second and our closeness and caring for each other has withstood the test of time; this is a sign of the true bond of friendship we all share -
bezold gets my vote for the keg party after the reunion :) actually, the room reservation thing at the hotel is a really good idea - hopefully, we can all get rooms in the same hallway!

myrtle:
i did speak to my bro about your folks party on sat. and gave him a heads up to make sure everything goes smoothly - he appreciated the call and will make sure all goes well - please let me know how it turns out - and i am trying not to stress too much over the start of school - i think if i do my lesson plans and supplemental materials the week before the reunion i should have the weekend cleared to have fun; but i'm really not thinking about it, i promise!

to all who were there on sunday:
words cannot express how emotional and truly special the day was...it was wonderful to see all of you and i look forward to our next meeting

and finally: maureen, i am going to get you back for the pictures - watch out next time i see you; you won't know when the camera is pointing in your direction!

have a great weekend all!!! it's late and past my bedtime - went to 1 1/2 hr. yoga class and then 2 1/2 hours hiking on the Appalacian Trail - gorgeous scenery! gotta love summer vacation!

and I have never been to hooters! and i also have never seen double dd's - they are way out of my league... but i may have been to hoover's a time or two...hey, it was only up the street from my house...
love to all...

I was asked by our dear friend, Jean Marie Allen, to post her message to all of you out in MC chatter world. Unfortunaltely she is having trouble logging on the site, and I have been trying to help. I promised her that it will happen. I’m not sure what is going on... in any case, she is enjoying the blog and wanted to say hi...

Jean Marie wrote: I feel so frustrated not being able to reach out to our fellow classmates. I keep reading the blogs and I am so entertained and excited to reconnect to everyone. Funny thing, I did not think going back so many years to a past time would be so exciting and fun. Now I am so looking forward to seeing everyone-the chatter on the blogs are so much fun I can not wait to see everyone again. It is very obvious that whatever clicks or groups we had in High School no longer matter! This is great thing-the website, and it just proves what a great group we went to school with! Since I can not put this on a blog I would love for you to put it out there to everyone on my behalf! I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion especially Elmer! Best to everyone!

Jean Marie

HI All,
Maureen,
I love all the photos, everyone looks great. Good to see Joellen and everyone else. Looking at all the young children is making me feel even older.
My daughter and I have been shopping to get her ready for College at the end of August and she's my youngest.
My husband and I will be empty nesters This Fall. Big party at my house no more tenagers. I mean, I'll miss them dearly.
Margaret

Hey Margaret - better bring your hankies with you when you drop her off at school - where is she headed? Melissa goes back in less than a month - Where did July go? Did I miss a month of summer?

My youngest son Sean goes off to college in three weeks. He'll be in Honolulu, but that's still a flight or a 3 hour ferry ride from Maui. He and I are best buddies, and I'll miss having him around. This will be our first time without kids! It will take some getting used to I'm sure (Not looking forward to it). Weg.

Just spent a great evening with Marcia Heinl-Istavan, Cheg, Karen Gilmartin-Werner, Linda Fergusen-Otte, Cheryl, and Mary Ellen Fiore. I think JoAnn Cheg will be puting photos up. It is sooooo amazing to see old friends, feels like it was only last year we were young and hanging out.

Clearly this reunion has reconnected friends far beyond photos and blogs. Thanks again Cheryl, John and anyone else who has been instrumental in this motivational process.

Have a great day.
Marlene
