Bonjour Damien!!

Carol do you actually remember having practically no school in January of our Senior year? At least one of those days was due to a cieling collapse in Mrs. Herbst's room - also a broker boiler - and snow, mega snow. AND we still graduated in the beginning of June, I think they just wanted to get rid of us!

I remember loosing a significant part of our senior basketball season (what else was important at the time?) to broken boiler and mega mega snow. My husband was at Fairfield U. at the time...his recolection is jumping out of second story dorm windows into 1 1/2 story high snow drifts...guess global warming wasn't an issue yet.

All of you have some memory. The only thing I remember is going to Baily Ellard (spelling) the night before the football game with a bunch of nameless others, Painting the place. Now that is a hs memory.

PS Bill Casey still can't shoot and Harlod Cody was a funny/sick youngster

Let's have Cheryl make sure we have a court and some hoops available to all of you basketball types so we see who can or cannot still shoot after all these years! We need to track down Heidi Braun and yes I am trying to bait Dave Halloran into this conversation!

Maureen...get the cheerleader suit on!

Harold, Can you bring a white horse to lead us onto the court?

05/09/08 08:57 PM #39

Kathleen Gallagher (Murphy)

Hi Lisa - Can I cheer, too? I think we should get Cheryl Knapp, Joanne Chegwidden, Nancy Rodimer & Marcia Heinl to cheer, as well. How fun that would be!

Kathy,
Great idea because,of course, the class of '78 cheerleaders were/are the best! And we need the band....
Great to hear from you!
Lisa

Does anyone else besides me remember turning every desk around to face the back of the classroom in Mr. Rauscher's class. When he walked in, we were all facing the back of the classroom! Does anyone remember about 100 pencils stuck to the ceiling in his classroom.

Also . . . can someone please refresh my memory . . . why are John Byrnes and Jim Rampone in the homecoming court picture in our yearbook without a girl?

To all
I was wondering if anybody would be interested in having a golf event either before homecomming (Fri.) or after (Sun.) If all the cheerleaders are going to wear thier uniforms, can I wear my wrestling singlet?
See you soon
Buck

Buck,
How's about a little fashion show preview and we can take a vote? By the way, thanks for the age related reminder on your profile...so many things have slipped my mind these days. Regrettably, my age isn't among them, my body makes sure of that.

Have a great day.
Marlene

John, I told you to destroy all the yearbooks!!! now we are out. lol.. You guys are killing me my sides are hurting from laughing ( or maybe its just the love handles)
I think Mr Rauscher finally put a hit out on Chris O"brien. (he just disappeared )
Buck, I hope You are still a Giants fan ,even though You are out in the mid west.
anyone remember Mr C poking Angus with his cane when he fell asleep in class!!
and for the record Sister Georgine was not sleeping.. she caught me tossing the ball to the back row, (she always had one eye open)

If Bucky can get Dean to wear the singlet too, I think Bill Casey would like to be part of that foursome!! :o)

As for Chris O'Brien.... I was flipping through the channels one night and I came upon the Morristown (??) town council meeting. I do belive I caught a glimpse of him on that board?!? That was quite a few years ago... So maybe he's in Washington DC now OR federal prison??!! Just kidding Chris!!!!

Hey guy,s
My brothers and sisters see chris all the time in Morristown. He also marches in the St. Pats. parade there every year. Always the politition. Now Jim, I don't want you to think any less of me , but i'm a die hard COWBOY fan. The Giants are my second favorite team. What a great super bowl. Now Carol, Carol, Carol, your fantasies about Dean are becomming a bit disturbing. Ipersonally don't think that was Dean at all. I think he superimposed a picture of Peter Brady on his face. But boy could throw a football.
see you all soon
Buck

Jim - I actually saw Chris about 2 weeks ago, collecting money for KofC in front of the Morris Plains Acme. He actually asked me if I knew where you were.

Anyone else from bus #1 remember the year Kevin Fletcher's father and Tom Cornine's father were running for Morris Plains mayor?

William Casey

wow, i take a few days off and i get flamed! i'm in russia this week, so of course the beatles "back in the USSR" popped into my head. at 48, i think bucky will be wearing "doublet", not a "singlet", but in either case, i now have a picture in my head that i can't get out. john byrne commenting on shooting a basketball is analagous to paris hilton giving a lecture on social etiquette. but he could play defense... how does elmer remember all those teachers? i think he's cheating and has the yearbook open. elmer?? i think i can remember 3 teachers.

Marlene..... Buck, Dean, Bill and ME!!! That's 4!!! Are you kidding?? I wouldn't miss that for the world!! Though I don't golf well at all, I'd be the one with the camera.

Bill..... Russia????? Are you just trying to "one up" Greg & Damien??? :o)

Bucky.... I was thinking "photoshop" also when I looked at Dean's picture!!

Maureen (Bezold),
That cheerleading picture you posted is from Freshman year. So we were even younger! (I was only a cheerleader for one year.)

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Hi Faith,
How old were you when we started at MCHS? I graduated grammar school in 1974, so we were 14 when we started at Morris Catholic.

05/17/08 11:46 AM #53

Faith Zimmerman

Maureen,
You're right. It was 1974-1975, but it was the Freshman squad, not the JV. That was what confused me.
Faith

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Faith,
Sorry for the confusion. I had JV squad written on the back of the picture.

I'm looking for a Landscape Architect.... Does anyone know someone they'd recommend?? Thanks!!

05/17/08 10:27 PM #56

Liz Kopf (Mazur)

For Carol, who apparently lives very close to me around here and I SWEAR I never saw and ran in the other direction, Paul Assante, class of '75, is a schooled Landscape Architect and does BEAUTIFUL work - Gardens of The World on Whitehall Road, Andover, and is my brother-in-law. :)
