Kevin,

If you have them in your laptop, you've already done the hard part. Getting them posted on this website is sooo easy. (Believe me, I had no prior experience with this sort of stuff.) After you've logged in, click on "edit/upload photos" on the lefthand side under "member functions". Then click on "upload new photo" over your 1978 school picture. Follow the directions from there. If you need help, yell.

Hope

Faith.
Cool pictures!
I noticed in your skiing photo, the lodge in the background has a door opening onto the roof. Nice architecture design huh?

Greg,
Maybe that's to make it easier to shovel the snow off the roof?

To all of us who have lost family members, friends and fellow Americans on that nightmare of a day;

"Forget me not, for I am there....
With the beat of your heart....
On the wings of your prayer."

............until we meet again.

And to those sacrificing to make sure it never happens again .... THANK YOU!

Hope, Faith,

How far apart do you guys live from each other?? Great family pictures!! How funny, the Halloween pic you posted.... they are cousins and ALSO look like twins!!!

All your work is beautiful...!! Is that an Owens Corning "Harbour Blue" roof on that lakefront house in Hopatcong?? what color is the house, grey or beige??

Good Luck to Nancy in the triathlon tomorrow. That woman is in incredible shape!

Now there's a way to lose a quick 20! lol! Yea, I'll have to put 'triathlon' on my list of things to do before I die. I'll put it last ..... right after I jump out of a perfectly good airplane! ;)

Hi all...
I was reading some profiles and someone mentioned the day we got our class rings and the ring turning ceremony. Thankfully, I still have mine (and I still think it is beautiful) and I'm gonna wear it to the football game! Hope some of you still have yours and would consider doing the same...mostly for fun and maybe to show the new generation the importance of tradition and our Class pride.
By the way, I am really hoping a beautiful white horse with a Crusader aboard still leads the team onto the field!
See you soon,
Lisa

Lisa-

Great idea about wearing the rings. We had mine out just the other day to show my girls. My oldest wears hers all of the time, but they are so little compared to how big ours were at the time.

The horse riding onto the field with a Crusader riding it - great idea, and maybe "Sven" can be the knight in shining armor! :}

Where's Kathy Gallagher been???

Hi Deb,
There actually used to be a horse with a crusader on it leading the team down that little slope and onto the field...wasn't there??? or am I in Alzheimersville again?
..and yes, the high school rings of today are waaaayyyy to small. Ours are better! (Aren't I mature)
xoxo Lisa

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Oh absolutely! Ours are wayyyyyyy better! If anything, gold is pretty expensive these days, I will bet our rings are worth some money today!

I don't remember the horse, but it could be that I am the one with the dementia setting in!

Lisa-

One problem with wearing the rings, mine only fits my pinky finger and looks kind of ridiculous on it! My daughter definitely thinks I should melt it and take the money and run!

Carol,

Thanks for the compliments. That lakefront house in Hopatcong has a "GAF Timberline" roof. The color is a very dark grey. The house is stucco, a beige sand color which is complimented by the stone foundation. It's often hard to tell colors from photos because so much depends on the lighting conditions.

As for Faith & I, we live in the same lake community, in Denville. We live close enough that the kids can walk to their cousins, but far enough that I cannot see her house from mine. Thats funny that you think the two girls in the Halloween picture look like twins. They are actually 2 years apart. (The two girls laughing & picking apples in a photo on Faith's profile are the same age - 2 months apart, with a lot of the same friends.)

Hello All,
I just looked at the slide show that Cheryl put together!Great job, Cheryl! It brings back fond memories and gets me more excited to see many people at the reunion. I do hope that more will be able to join us, even if it's only for the Fri. night gathering or the football game on Sat.

Hurricane Ike made it's mark up here in Central Ohio. My son was to have a soccer game on Sun. but the wind was so strong and many tree limbs were down, we decided to turn around and come home. Luckily we did! The tree in our front yard was split with a large limb down. Fortunately, it fell onto the driveway instead of the house! Our nice neighbors helped Dan cut the limbs and branches up to put at curb side. Many communities are out of power. Fortunately,we have power but our next door neighbors don't. The kids have been off school the past 2 days and Dan's work has also been without power. Hopefully, things will turn around tomorrow. Of course out inconvienences are nothing compared to those who are really suffering.

Looking forward to the reunion!

Lisa H,

Glad all is well at your home and no one was hurt! Is there major flooding there in Ohio? I saw last night on the news that Chicago got hit pretty bad with record rainfalls; are our classmates from Chicago all ok?

Does anyone know how formal our attire should be for the reunion itself? Lee asked if he is supposed to wear a suit or something less formal. I said I'd find out for him. Cheryl? John? Anyone?

09/16/08 12:10 PM #775

Lisa A. Henkel (Bruening)

Good question Hope. I'd also like to know how formal the attire will be for the ladies as well. I don't want to be overdressed or underdressed! Any ideas?

Lisa H.

Hope and Lisa,

I would say suit and tie for the gents. SORRY!!! I will probably be wearing a dress, but whatever you feel most comfortable in.

Thomas R. Thomas

Hope - Re the attire for the dinner dance - you think we'll have a choice? I thought we'd have to follow the old school dress code (guys in light blue cords, tie and a third piece...sweater, vest or jacket) and you ladies would be wearing the plaid skirts with the white or blue blouses.

09/16/08 03:25 PM #778

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Tom, don't forget that we were ALLOWED to wear pink and yellow blouses also. I think that changed in soph or junior year.

Hi all,

I'm wearing the suit that i will be buried in and I think the ladies should come underdressed.

How about "Aloha-wear"?

Buck: you mean the gorilla suit? Cool!

09/16/08 07:14 PM #781

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Greg,
What about Hawaiian lei's for all the ladies with that Aloha wear?!?! Now don't everybody take that the wrong way please!

09/16/08 07:17 PM #782

Liz Kopf (Mazur)

Greg~

Would you PLEASE bring a lei for Bezold when you come? That's all she's been talking about since we saw you on the site, wanting a lei.

I never heard a woman go on so much about a lei ..... men, yes....... ;)
