JoAnn (Chegwidden),
Congrats to you & your daughter. I saw her receive her Summa Award at Morris Knolls last night. My husband, Greg, saw you before the ceremony (I didn't), but I couldn't find you afterwards to say Hi.

My 24-year-old daughter just became an AVON LADY! lol!

If anyone is thinking ahead to Christmas yet, here is her link If anyone is interested. Apparently, even Avon Ladies no longer go door-to-door! lol!

I was kinda hoping she would change careers .... her married last name is GRAVES! Yikes!

Thanks soo much Faith!! I wish I had seen you there. I was sitting in the back, I really don't know too many people at school. Its sad to think that back when we were in school, we knew everyone in our class, and in other classes as well.

Congrats to you too!! I am sure you are very proud!
Sorry I missed you.

HI All,
I just wanted to thank whoever put together the 70's music CD that was in the goody bag. I listened to it twice today and it was so much fun. You really know you have entered the MATURE world when you truly believe there is no current music that can hold a candle to the music of your own generation.
...it was long ago and far away and it was so much better than it is today.....
or if you prefer....ain't no doubt about it we were doubly blessed. We were barely 17 and we were barely dressed...well not me of course. What a great lyric!!!
Stay well!
xoxo Lisa

morris catholic groovers:

that cd rocks - whoever picked out the setlist is a genius!!! listened to it for the first time friday night; melissa came home from college on a "laundry and food run" and surprised me. we put on the cd and rocked out to "free bird" at full volume (i lit the nag champa incense and everything)... and "born to run" was a perfect ending... many thanks to the folks that put that together! and the christmas ornament was a way cool idea!

ellen,
we had a FOF club??? my memory is totally gone. i got to meet him a couple of years ago backstage at the beacon - i felt like a teenager - wasn't able to come up with anything coherent to say and you know how i can talk - well, i had him sign my pass - and yes, he is just as cute now as he ever was (albeit without hair) and boy, can he play guitar - sat in with the allmans for "born under a bad sign" - tons of fun to see my guitar god once again

debbie,
many congrats on your daughter's college acceptance - what a wonderful accomplishment - and your pix of the "homecoming" girls are beautiful - i have to say your youngest totally has your beautiful smile - good luck on the college search!

and hi to everyone - i miss you all very, very much

love and peace,
mare

Hey kids! Yea me! I finally posted the pics from a week ago....hey better late than never!
Missed the game, I was in hell @ the Rockaway Mall wiff my daughter. She is like a chia pet...grows and grows so I had to get her new clothes...maybe I will lay off watering her for a while....just kidding, I would never not provide for my girly girl and of course her brother. Since he has a life of his own I never get the oppurtunity to take him shopping...oh well!
I have not purchased a chinchilla nor do I think I will. I just don't need a rodent like that to take care of. Even though my daughter says she will take care of it I heard that 2 years ago when I gave in to a puppy.
Kevin...glad that you made it home it was great to see you, hopefully if you are here for Thanksgiving we can get together and talk more.
Carol how are your little slime thingys w/ wings? I can't imagne! By the way, did you see that I left your sunglasses by your door...let me know if you got them
Congrats to you and your daughter Cheg..well done!
Avon....Liz are you kidding? Door to door? Guess you will be her biggest customer
Well I guess thats it for now, oh yeah Greg nice pics thanks for posting and same goes for you Bez great pics!
Lisa...c'mon you can tell us you were barely dressed back in the day. Remember, I saw you WORKING the room @ the reunion if you know what I mean lol! Opps did I say that? Just kidding girlfriend! I am curious how you explained the Depends when you got home? OK I am really going now..have to get ready for Monday...I hate Monday's! Good nite all! Type to you tomorrow...maybe, if the day goes well
One more thing...Scerbo how's school going? If you need anything give me a call. I was glad to see that you posted something again...Where's Elmer?

We missed you Tom...I am thinking out loud but I wonder how many people would be willing to get together for the long Thanksgiving weekend??? If there was a significant number of people we can discuss a place to meet...at no cost just for a get together...one place that comes to mind is the Fireside in Denville...or possibly for a hoot Hoovers lol...think about it...it could end up being another mini reunion and I would organize it...let me know what you all think.
I am on a little prep and thats why I am able to blog....I hope everyone had a great weekend...it was beautiful! I hope all of you are having a good Monday...mine so far has been quiet...students seem to be in a daze...but thats ok...I like the calmness! Okedokee ta ta for now...more later : 0 cya!

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Can you move the get together over Thanksgiving to Atlanta? :} We're staying put for the holiday and traveling to Michigan for Christmas, don't know if I have warm enough clothers for that trip! But if anyone is up for a get together down here, let me know! Pat, Kathy, Murph, Kevin, Debbie S, and the rest of the southerners!? And northerners too!!!!!!!!!

Thanks everyone for the sweet feedback on my daughter's first college acceptance. Its just a warm feeling knowing someone wants her!

Scerbo,
My youngest has a nice smile alright, and boy does she know how to use it with the boys. She's the one who worries me the most! When will you be back in Atlanta? The Flying Biscuit is calling.....

MaryGrace,
How do you stay soooooooooo happy?! I want your secret! I feel like I'm always stressed!!!

Liz,
Avon isn't so bad, it shows she's at least trying! :} My words of wisdom to my oldest daughter has been to get great grades so she can get into a good collegeso she's not the Walmart greeter someday! (Hope this doesn't offend anyone!)

10/20/08 01:20 PM #977

Thomas J. Cornine

Deb,

I am a very good Greeter for Walmart....(Which is where I'll be soon if this eceonomy doesn't improve.)

Southern trip not yet but I maybe game for a NJ Fireside Chat. I have a soccer Tournament to attend 1st put should be free evenings....

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Hey to all,
Weekend was good. I hope everyone else's was. Met my sister, Mary Anne, Joanne Gallagher and Ed Arci at the MCHS football game. Go Crusaders - they beat Whippany Park.
MG - a get together at the Fireside (Firedive) sounds awesome. We are counting on you MaryGrace to pull this off.

Deb, glad to hear that you found your bracelet and that one of your daughter's didn't abscond it.

Liz, how is Nadia? Is she feeling better today?

Carol - where are you? How was your gig at St. Michael's on Saturday?

10/20/08 03:02 PM #979

Liz Kopf (Mazur)

Bez-Nadia has recovered, thanks. I think I got the last of the barf smell out of the house with apple scented candles! Darn, I would have loved to see Ed Arci. He also lived in Montville.

Deb-Congratulations on your daughter's acceptance. MY oldest daughter, the one that recently added 'Avon Lady' to her resume, graduated with a 4.2 from Pope John AND a 3.7 from Villanova University. She WAS making buco bucks in the FINANCIAL industry, so it REALLY scares me when she says "Um, I thought I would start selling Avon, you know, just for fun!" :/

Imagine how much money could have been saved if she went to a nice community college! lol!

So much for Grandkids any time soon from HER! lol!

Hey Myrtle:
School is going really well; thanks for asking...it's still a lot of work (all that grading and stuff) but I am really enjoying my class time with the kids; things seem to be coming together nicely...now let me warn you my opinion is subject to change on a daily basis! Thanks for your offer of help - just knowing you're there makes it so much easier. How is your year going?

Hey Debbie:
I don't have any immediate plans to travel southbound, although I miss my son like crazy - I just don't have the extra $$$$ or time lately... I haven't seen him since Feb. and he told me he can't come home for Christmas; he can't take the time off from work :( but if I come down your way I will be sure to let you know - I miss all that good southern cooking...yum

xoxo

Liz-
You should be so proud of her though, look at what she's accomplished! Now I'm assuming she still has her job in the financial industry and just said this jokingly because things are so bad?! Kind of like me teasing my girls about the Walmart greeter job?! :} Come on, she had to be kidding you!

Tom-
Sorry, you've been turned down for the Walmart greeter job due to your good looks! (Did I just insult my girls?! Great, some mother I am.)
