MaryGrace Van Saun (Tiersch)

Ok Bez I WILL put the Thanksgiving weekend gig together...already have a taker, TOM!! So there is Tom and I and You 3 so far woo whoo the list is a growing Fireside..firedive is a go...and don't worry people the first pitcher of Kamakazi's is on me!!!!!! So lets go gang , an offer you can't refuse and of course any classmates that are coming from out of town can stay @ Carol's. Only she doesn't know it yet...I say this because she makes the greatest Taylor ham and cheese sandwhiches.
Deb, the always staying happy ..its all done w/ mirrors.
Scerbo kudos to you that the year is off to a good start...you just call out my name and I will be there to help/ guide you whatever ya need!

Liz-
I hear ye! My husband is moving his office back into the home thanks to this wonderful economy, and I'm not happy about losing my guest room, not to mention having him constantly under my feet. I don't think he'd be too happy in the laundry room, LOL! Maybe you can charge her rent if she needs the room!

Bill-
Hi Mr and Mrs Casey!

Maureen Bezold (Como)

MaryGrace,
Pick a day (Friday or Saturday) for the Thanksgiving reunion get together at the Fireside and I'll post an announcement. This way everyone has plennnnnnnty of time to make arrangements for babysitters and maybe even designated drivers. LOL

Carol, where are youuuuuuuuuuu???? Did you receive the stuff we bought from Hailey's fundraiser?

Liz, glad to hear that Nadia is feeling much better and that the house doesn't smell like barf anymore.

Hi Everybody,
Bucky and Sven and I are having a party in Tucson whenever Bucky wants to drive down. It's only 2500 miles...
Seriously...I m so wishing I could get together with all of you again. I mean why waste a perfectly good pair of Depends.
Liz..The Avon thing can add a little moolah to the right person's pocket book. If your girl is a go getter, she may do great with it especially at this time of year! I see the old broads at work spending beaucoupe bucks on that stuff every week. Now the Walmart greeter on the other hand....not so big bucks but I would go to any Walmart where Tom was the greeter.
Myrtle, glad to hear that Carol's pad is up for grabs. That's where I was planning to stay during my next NJ visit...no she doesn't know that yet!...or with you!
Love you all. Keep up the get-togethers. They are great for the collective morale
Bill Casey, we missed you!
xoxo Lisa

Besides,I can put in an Avon order for Xmas gifts...LOL

Where the hell IS Carol????
I haven't heard from her either....
I didn't even know that Hailey had a fund raiser...huh!

Deb-

T.G. in Atlanta may be just right for me this year.If Murphy is going to be home,I'll come.
I'll keep you posted.
How crazy would it be if we have a Mini-ReU in Atlanta???
We're getting so nation wide,it's wild!!!

Bobo-

Still missin' U...go south little Sheba...(Scerbo...whatever!)

Hey guys,
I'll be the designated driver if I'm in town. Everyone can get in the back of my pick-up and I'll slow dowm in front of your homes so you can jump out.(tuck and roll)
Lisa, It's only 1750 miles from my house to yours. At 80 mph it's only a little more then 21 hours. Anyone interested in a road trip?
Liz, I'm glad your daughter is feeling better! Was it something you cooked for her. I'll let my wife know about the Avon as soon as she gets back from Switzerland.
The Deadheads won their first playoff game and are still unscored upon.(coaching)

MaryGrace Van Saun (Tiersch)

So splain something to me Kevin are you around Thanksgiving weekend? We can do another get together in December as well...lets keep this party going.
Bez...do you think Friday is better or Saturday for the Fireside??
Bucky you are the first to make me almost need a Depends w/ the bit you wrote about rolling out of your truck...oh man that was funny and great job to your deadheads! go team go!
Gonna have to put a Ho patrol out for lil miss Carol...she is MIA what da heck is up wiff dat? Maybe those slimey things ate her or something, swallowed her whole...I dunno

Just kidding on the shots dem days are over unless of course I have a designated driver...Speed Racer...but I am not tucking and rolling out of your truck lets get that straight from the get go! Okedokee gotta jet its Tuesday night and that means B-I-N-G-O wiff da old folk of Hopatcong...I am living large I tell ya and tonite I call the balls B 12 NOOOOOOOOOOOBingo!!! Marlene Stager

Bucky,
If I can get to you....I'd love to stow away in your truck. Arizona in winter or bust! Though I think we have been lucky/blessed here in the northeast regarding weather and natural disasters....there are only 3 redeeming qualities of a northern winter as far as I am concerned....Christmas, hot chocolate and basketball...not necessarily in that order! (And two of them are just as functional in the warm weather)
Go Deadheads! I expect to see the same support for the Warriors during basketball season...we open first week in Dec. Gotta love those catholic HS mascots, it's all about peace and goodwill....Crusaders, Knights, Warriors....

To all:
Ditto on all the photos. I really enjoy perusing the different pages. Thanks to everyone who brought cameras, made time to take photos and post them. I'm a bit of a slouch in that dept.

I am back to my joke search...I've been reduced once again to googling a variety of topics. HELP...just about anything goes...just about...and I'm good at modifying...so send away.

Best to all of you...
Marlene

Maureen Bezold (Como)

MaryGrace, I would say Friday since we will most likely be closing the Fireside, which will be Saturday, and then we can all go out for breakfast at Paul's Diner. Sound like a plan????? Have fun at bingo!!!

I think the Ho from Hopatcong did get sucked up by those, what are they called again? I don't remember.

Buck, congratulations on the win! How are your plans going for Halloween weekend?

Ellen and Liz, I posted the picture from the football game this past Saturday - Joanne, Mary Anne and Ed.

Marlene-

Who needs jokes?

I drop in daily just to see what Myrtle has to say!
No matter how thitty the day is,she always makes me laugh! The fact that I can picture her saying those things in a way that I almost think of it as a radio show or something! Try it...I like it!

Ms. Ho-patcong needs a call or text.Did anybody try that yet? (I've never called her that before...oooohhh...now I feel bad....oh well!)

And Ms. Myrtle-

I won't be there for thanksgiving.I'm up on Dec 10 & I didn't book a return flight yet...don't know how long I should stay...maybe for Xmas? Don't know.
What I do know is that I'd love to go to Hoover's & hOOter's if there is one,I guess...but,mostly drinks at Hoover's! So like, the weekend of 12/13th.I know I'll be there at least that long,I have to work.

I'm going to call Carol....See Ya! k

10/21/08 08:42 PM #996

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Kevin,
I've texted, emailed and left messages. She did just call my house but she spoke with my son because he is looking for pictures that she took of him at the Boonton Township picnic in September - my son was all dressed up in his firemen's gear for an extracation drill. I was sooo impressed!!!!

And Kevin, there is a Hooter's in Wayne. Sounds like we have to make plans for a mini-reunion in December as well. Who is planning that one?????

10/21/08 09:18 PM #997

Marianne Scerbo (Longchamp)

Hey Manos and Debbie and Kathy and the other southern folks,

I just got off the phone with Pat and we may drive down and stay with him over Christmas - we are still in the early discussion stage (it just literally happened) I didn't want to bring it up before because I thought he wanted a nice, quiet Christmas alone with his girlfriend, but he said he would love to have us!!! I'm really excited; I hope we can make this happen...and he's going to make me barbeque!!! soooo maybe we can get together for "breakfast at the biscuit"...that would be sooo much fun...I'll keep you posted on the plans

xoxo
have a nice week

Geez! A car just crashed BAM right in front of my house about an hour ago! An old guy was peee-lastered and crashed into one of my palm trees (which snapped in half), then hit a light pole and flipped up on his side.
Our whole neighborhood, over a hundred people, were gathered on my front lawn to watch the Maui Fire Dept. cut open the car and pull the driver out (he's ok) and then flip the car back and haul it off. It was like a block party.

I live in a regular residential area, and this is the third tree of mine to be wrecked into, the last one was a huge beautiful coconut palm.

Shouda had a designated driver.
Weg.

Hi all,
Deb, do you live near the Bobby Jones Hwy.I might have to stop in Augasta first on the way to Arz. It's just a little out of the way but no problem.
Marlene, hopefully we can post some jokes that won't offend anyone. I have a crew cab so you can sit in the back seat, Deb has front seat since she asked first. And GO WARRIORS.
Shade, MY batteries are running low too but that's my pace maker. When you see Bob Ryan, tell him I said thank you.
Over and out there
Buck

Kevin: great idea...do I have to give her credit or can I make it my own...could really boost my status here at work.

Buck: my legs and the back seat of anything other than a stretch limo is a disagreeable combination (and I can be a whiner if necessary)... How about whoever gets to the truck first gets shottie (as my boys would say) and no fair parking in Atlanta. Unless ofcourse you are considering transporting in a stretch...

I am wondering what I did for the past 30 years without this msg board...kinda like I wonder how I survived without a cell phone etc.

Greg: May I suggest you charge admission to the next lawn show...that way you can replace those beautiful trees and resod with whatever Hawaiian lawns are covered in. Pina Colada bar could really add to the event...and the financing options. (BTW It is windy and 44 here today...my sympathy for your encounter would be greater in different conditions). Glad no one got hurt.

Well, back to work. I am off on Tues so Wednesday is as bad as Monday.
Have a great day.
Marlene

Shucks Kevin! I thought you were gonna be around for Turkey Day, but hey December is just as good!
I have called Carol a couple of times...her cell phone mailbox is full and I have left messages on the house phone...I guess I may just have to drive over there!
Maureen, Friday afterThanksgiving sounds great. Maybe we can meet @ the Fireside in Denville between 7-8 close the joint and breakfast @ Paul's Diner....people can let me know or just show up....nothing formal and yes offer still stands for the pitcher of Kamakazi's so chop chop fellow classmates come out with us and consider it a start to your holiday get togethers, parties, etc. Yikes I gotta go back to class I am late....cyas!

10/22/08 01:46 PM #1004

Maureen Bezold (Como)

MaryGrace,
Spoke with Carol last night - she cannot find her cell phone :( and she has just been really busy with the little one - school pics and the such.
Friday after Thanksgiving sounds great - I'll post something soon and I'm looking forward to those Kamakazi's and/or Alabama Slammers!!!!

Greg-

Well now that you've mentioned all of this added excitement over there,I think a reunion at your place really is a must!
I hate to see a good Palm tree go down though...

I think we should let the jokes fly!
If it's all in the name of fun, let'em rip...
As I've said before,if you don't like it,don't read it,skip it,delete it,whatever...

Elmer & I were discussing how this message bored...ooops board, needs a shot in the arse!!!

Gotta go 4 now,See Ya,K

10/22/08 02:22 PM #1006

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Bucky,
I think the ole-Buck-mobile needs some wings to fly off to Hawaii as our last stop on our road trip! Whats another 2000 miles? (Augusta is just a short 150 miles away, no problem as long as I'm in the front, first class seating! Sorry Marlene!)

Scerb-
Horray! You're coming south! Keep us posted on the date since we're heading to Michigan for Christmas Brrrrrrrrrr (probably head there on the 26th of Dec). Got to get the chains out for my tires......

Greg-
Holy cow! Maybe you guys need a heavy duty fence from DeMart Sales to keep those crazy drivers out. Don and I would love to fly out and give you an estimate! (Glad the old man is ok!)

Marlene,
Here's a riddle for you...5 goldfish in a tank...3 of the goldfish die. The water level in the tank goes up..why?
First to solve the riddle gets 2 free nights lodging in a lovely middle class home in Tucson. Home cooked breakfast...maybe say somethin' like Poptarts, included. Free transportation provided by Cabana Boy Travels.)
Let the guessing begin.
xoxo Lisa

10/23/08 02:03 PM #1008

Marlene Stager

Lisa,
Here goes...2 possible scenarios.
1) I see the gold fish have died, and being completely insensitive, as I am inclined to be, to their fragile environment, plunge both hands...fingers interlocked, into the tank and sieve them out. Ofcourse the addition of my hands not only raises the water level, but causes some to splash out which I immediately replace with cold tap water causing the remianing fish to perish and the water level to rise once again.
or....
2) My cat, Trouble, witnesses the deaths, thus having a head start on creating his own solution. He pounces resulting in a full body wash....see above for outcome of increased mass in the fish tank.

What say you? Do I win a trip to Az.? It certainly would mean alot to me and I would like to collect about mid February if it is all the same to you and ofcourse cabanaboy transit.
Even if it isn't exactly the answer you were seeking...I feel strongly that I should receive some type of merit points for being first...If I can't have the trip...a years supply of Friday night pizza for my family would be an acceptable second place prize. But wait...a trip to Az might actually be less expensive...I choose Az.

Thanks for the game, I love to play games.....
Keep smiling everybody.
Marlene
