Hi Guys..

Hey Carol,I'm sorry Hailey had to be sick, that little angel!
Sorry I haven't been keeping up w/ you.I'm moving...yes,AGAIN! This new place is a definate keeper though. Can't wait for you to take some time off and come down w/ the kids.

So,I'm just doing a quick check in.Wondering what happened to Elmer as well?!?!?!

I'm working my butt off, closing the one store and incorporating it into my showroom.I've hired some one to "re-brand" me,as he would say.
So there will be a new logo, cards, signs, etc.
I will be replacing part of the gallery section w/ more furnishings, plus jewelry, specialty clothing and gift items.I'm trying to work through this ecomomy...it's been very tough, but I'm doing all I can to make it happen down here.
I could never move back to Jersey. It was in the 50's here the other night and I hated it.So...if all else fails,I may be serving tourists cocktails at some Tikii Bar on the beach and living in a hut!!!!
It might not be the worst thing. As Cheryl was saying,it's just too much sometimes, with all that goes on in a day.And I don't have a partner or kids...I don't know how you guys do it all!

BTW,the marketer I've hired is going to be creating my web site, which has not happened so far...but he's under contract,so it will become a reality and any one that's interested in seeing my Showroom will finally be able to do so.

Bez-

Yes,I know I haven't posted any pictures, but I do know how to now.I just don't have the time...

I can't wait to show off my Dommy Boy! He had his first grooming and he is the most handsome boy on the block! I didn't even recognize him when I went to pick him up.
So he'll be my first proud Dad post after this whole move thing is over with.I should be pretty settled within the next two weeks,at least for a while...

Alrighty then,I'm exhausted...Stay well all...cheers,Kevin

Hi All,
Just getting myself out of bed this morning...gonna decorate today!
Thanks Tony for posting more pics...I love seeing them. I was trying to recognize the people in the prom photo but could only recognize Greg and yourself.
Weggie, How's everything on your street this week? If all else fails, there's a nice neighborhood in Mount Arlington you might want to think about...no palm trees though.

Kev, Are you all moved into to the new place? Sounds like you've got some big projects on your plate.

Carol, I was beginning to think you and Mary Grace had been abducted by aliens or something. Hope the little girl is feeling much better by now. Stay in touch. I will not be happy if I only talk to you once in the NEXT 30 years.

Bucky...is that iPOD playing any tunes yet? What did you put on it?
okay... it's out to the storage room for me to drag in the tree...yes it's fake but at least it's not silver!
Love to all of you!
Lisa

Hello All MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

I know its early but I don't celebrate holidays.... Debb, some memories just come floating back funny what you remember, 21-27-5 locker combo but I don't remember where the lockers were!!.

Had our Neighborhood Christmas party last night and it brought back memories of our reunion, except I didn't remember 1/2 of these people, yikes.

Today is kinda slow and I somehow agreed to coach an indoor soccer team for my older son, guess I did have a little to much to drink laast night.

Lisa my tree is also of the recurring type, I had to put it up 3 Times so far this year. finally fixed it. I will replace it after Christmas.

I won't be making the next mini reunion, Family Commitments and Business Commitments. Maureen Dave Diana, John Great seeing you all at Fireside. maybe after holidays we can get together.

Tom

Sorry everyone that I've not been checking this site. I've been involved with filing our 10-K and doing some business travel

I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I'm sorry I didn't make the Fireside event. It would have been nice to see everybody and it would have been a homecoming of sorts (there is a family legend that I was conceived in the office of the Fireside). My brother showed up at my door on Thursday morning (as a Thanksgiving surprise) and insisted that I drive him to New York City on Friday evening.

I hope I haven't missed responding to anybody's message board query (if so, you repeat the question). My pre-New Year's resolution is to check it regularly. I think one of the nicest things (well everything is nice); let me rephrase my sentence as one of the most touching things I saw this morning is David Zielinsky's story regarding his being a kidney donor match for his wife. May God bless them (or continue to do so because he/she has already blessed them).

Jeanmarie: How is the temperature in Orlando? I went on a business trip to Jacksonville two weeks ago and it was 35 degrees at night. Hope you are doing well. Sorry you couldn't make the reunion.

Kevin: I still want you to meet my brother and Joel. They were only here two days when they made the surprise visit.

Lisa: Flea market season is officially over here until spring. Hope all is well out West.

My best regards to everyone during this Advent season.

Elmer

Yeah Elmers Back!!!!!!!

busy day - made the christmas cookies decorated the balance of the house great weekend and now find out Elmer's Back.

Ok I will wait to get the next Elmer posting.

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Tom- no fair! You made cookies? I couldn't even get help dragging the 20+ boxes of decorations down from the attic! Our outside is not decorated yet, but I'm not too worried, my neighbors all seem to be taking their time too!

Elmer - calling Elmer! I read the book Twilight by Sephanie Meyer finally. COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! Now I understand what the hype is all about. What an imagination! I would love to hear your feedback if you've read it yet. I have to go see the movie but am afraid it will ruin the way I envisioned the characters.

Lisa - a fake tree is the only way to go. Needles on the floor constantly - is for the birds. But every year my husband insists on the traditional trip to the nursery for that evergreen that has only one redeeming quality and that is its soothing pine scent. And of course I am the only one who sweeps up the needles. Any way to permanently attach the needles to the tree????

Kath Bowe- hope business is good at your Xmas tree farm!

Hey guys!

Deb-thanks for offering up your kidsDoes that include air-fare?

Lisa-there aren't a lot of kids in my neighberhood and most of my straight friends, with kids, are in NJ,unfortunately....

ELMER!!!!!
YEY....you're back!
You're so funny...conceived at the Fireside...that's funny.I hope that when I do get to meet your brother,I will get, at least,a short notice! But that (hopefully) was a nice suprise for you.I'm glad that you're back!

MYRTLE!!!!! Helloooo.....I need U 2 make me smile!!!!!

Yes,I do have a lot on my plate,so to speak.
I have not moved yet,due to delays in flooring problems.
I did manage to get my showroom decorated for the block party (Wilton Wonderland!) Saturday night & I must say,it looked good.Every one always says that my store is the coolest on the block with the best vibe and atmosphere...which is nice to hear, but no one has walked out with a sofa yet!!!!

Oooohhhh...it gets chilly here at night, like in the 40's.
Way too cold for me.I even feel a cough or something coming on.I will not be coming up to Jersey for the holidays at all.I've had to change my plans and traveling right now would just be too much.

I went to the prescrening of 'Milk' last week...excelent movie and Sean Penn deserves an Oscar nod,for sure.

Well...time to get the day rolling.
Enjoy the season and be well.....Peace/Kevin

Hi Kevin,
Since you're not coming to Jersey for the Holidays, you might want to amend your announcement on the Home Page. Some people might still want to get together, but they should probably be told that you won't be spearheading it. Not everyone who visits the site looks at the message forum. Hope you enjoy your warm, sunny Holidays.
Faith

I agree, if it is going to happen without Kevin's spearheading lets amend and figure out what is going to happen.

12/08/08 12:28 PM #1143

Maureen Bezold (Como)

I'm in the process of changing the announcement right now.

HELP! I need someone with expertise in loading a digital photo frame...... I scanned some old pictures into my computer and they're coming up really small when I load them into the frame. How do I blow them up before transferring them to the frame? Someone told me this can't be done- does anyone know?

Well Kevin, its been colder than normal here too. I dread travelling to Michigan in a few weeks. At least we're not driving!

i just saw that Angus updated his profile. it reminded me of an episode in senior year. we "volunteered" to play at a huge school mass(all the catholic schools from the area) and i was pulling the songs together. i had Angus and Rick LaChance as the other 2 guitar players. We had one day of practice to pull it together. Angus and Rick just riffed the entire practice, while i sweated, trying to find a few religious songs that would catch their fancy ("sons of god" wasn't doing it). well, we finally picked a few, but man, what a trip.

Bez
I ate my M$Ms again...What is wrong with me?????
xoxo Lisa

Deb, I'm talking to Sven about your photo problem and I'll get back to you.

Bill, Good to hear from you again. How were your travels?
That's a nice image of you and Angus and Rick playing together...3 people we missed seeing at the reunion.:(

Has anyone heard from Myrtle?
xoxo Lisa

JoAnn Chegwidden (Rosica)

Hi...Haven't been on in a long time. Bill, you played for a bunch of Catholic schools or something like that?? How come I don't remember all these things.

Debbie, I have a digital photo frame too, its still in the box. OMG, can't figure it out. I just know I can put a flash card in it and the pics appear. I was going to give it to my mom a year ago, but well, you know how that goes.

I live by a house where you can see the neighbors house from space, really!! He has every inch of his house lit up! At one time they had to make the street one way for the traffic. Now the whole street gets into it. Either that or he decorates for the whole neighborhood!

Hope everybody is well and starting to get ready for the season of Christmas. It will be here before you know it!
Good Luck Deb and let me know how you got the pics on it in the first place. Did you just go to pics and then drag them over to the frame?

12/09/08 11:27 PM #1148

JoAnn Chegwidden (Rosica)

DEbbie, one more thing I wanted to tell you. My daughter just read the book too, and is on the second one. But thats all she is doing!! She is obsessed with it. She said its soo good. Also, she has seen the movie twice.

12/10/08 08:15 AM #1149

Lisa Coppola

Deb,
David's telling me the pics will loose all quality if you blow them up...you probably knew that already...sorry, not very helpful. Ask me a question about baking cookies and I bet I can answer!!! Good luck.
xo Lisa

Lisa and JoAnne-
Thanks for the notes about using digital picture frame. I've decided I will just scan copies of 8x10s that I have of the girls to add to the collection for my parents. Lisa, you are definitely right, the picture quality will go to zilch if I try to blow it up. Bummer. JoAnne, when you plug in the flash card, your pictures will start appearing and there should be some sort of a menu that lets you "copy picture" onto the frame. The key is to copy them in the order you want them to appear. The real organized people do the earliest first. I decided to mix mine up!

JoAnne-
I haven't read the 2nd Stephanie Meyer book yet, I will need to wrestle it from my daughter. They've read the series over and over and over! Its definitely obsessive. I just found it really interesting and I'm not usually into those types of books.

We got our lights up yesterday but they're not visible from space, sorry JoAnne!

JoAnn Chegwidden (Rosica)

Deb,
I will try and take a pic of that guys house and post it on here. Its crazy!!

12/10/08 06:49 PM #1152

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Joanne,
The house with the Christmas lights, is it off of Mt. Hope Road by the Rockaway Mall? If that is the house you are talking about, I drove by there last year and couldn't believe the amount of lights that they have. I certainly wouldn't want to pay his electric bill.

How are your boys and, of course, Stephanie?

Deb,
Any luck with Donna's address yet?

12/11/08 09:25 AM #1153

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Bez-

No, unfortunately Colleen hasn't responded to my sister thru Facebook yet. I will bug my sister to try again!

12/11/08 09:35 AM #1154

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Thanks Deb, just thought I would check in with you. Did you guys have to endure any of that nasty weather in Georgia yesterday? If so I hope all is well. Must check in with Kathleen to make sure she is okay.

12/11/08 10:38 AM #1155

Thomas J. Cornine

Maureen,
did mean to Jump on anyone about Kevins posting Just thought it should be updated. how is everyone doing for the Christmas season lights up?

Joanne I saw a picture of north Jersey from the International Space Station looks like you were trying to put out lights at that guys house in Rockaway.....LOL

We used to have a display like that down here by the Shore but my Wife made me take it down........

Well hope all is well with everyone. Deb did you get the bad weather? and Elmer I think we are overdue for one of your postings.

yeah, i'm back for awhile. i was gone about a month, hitting brasil, south africa, dubai, disney (soccer tournament with karina), back to brasil, then downtown chicago for a 3-day marketing kickoff. in jan, i hit puerto rico, portugal, and malaysia for the first 3 weeks...

12/11/08 01:45 PM #1157

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Bill, how do you handle all that traveling? It must get very tiring.

12/11/08 11:14 PM #1158

JoAnn Chegwidden (Rosica)

Maureen, thats the one alright!! I think he has put more up this year than last.
And Tom, are you sure?? Did you get a good look at the person? How did you guess it was me!! haaaa....

It's crazy raining here tonight. Hope all is well with everyone.

Oh Bez, not sure on the homecoming of Matt yet. I will be shouting from the roof tops when the big day arrives. I will let the whole world know. As for Dan, he is now a driver of the M-RAP truck(A huge Hum Vee) They needed drivers so he got his license to drive one. As for Steph, she is doing well, addicted to reading the books "Twilight". How are you doing?? Can you believe Christmas is less than two weeks away????
