JoAnne-
If your son(s) are coming thru Atlanta, let me know! It would be a great opportunity for my girls to meet them at the airport, so please let me know when they're coming in!
Did you post the photo of the house with all the lights???? We have one similar here that we like to visit. I'll have to try to get a picture!

Tom-
We got over 4 inches of rain in 48 hours but as you know we're still in a horrible drought so even four inches wasn't enough! We have a back yard full of pine trees that will need to be somewhat cleared in the spring due to over 50% of them being dead. My girls were really hoping it would get cold enough to snow but it didn't happen! They have their finals next week so they needed to be in school today (for my sanity too.) Enjoy your precious young children, they grow up way too quickly.

Elmer!
Where are you?!

Deb,
I sure hope he tells me when he is coming in. It might be in Atlanta, not sure.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ!!!!! a day late right?
Sorry,I didn't have my lap top in the hospital with me.

I did notify Bez when I knew I wasn't coming up...really.

Liz & Kevin-

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Sorry I'm a day late Liz, but hope you're living it up in Boston! And Kevin- hope you're better, nothing worse than being sick over the holidays.

We got our tree today, went out to a good ole fashioned tree farm (Kath Bowe, you need to move your tree farm south) and had a blast picking from the hundreds of trees! Now we just need some snow- just kidding!

Heloooooooooo ........ anybody out there?????? lol!

Hi all. I know we are all busy with the Holiday's quickly approaching. I hope everyone is doing well!

I just got off of the phone with Linda Janela and she wanted me to wish everyone a healthy and happy Christmas and New Year, since she doesn't 'Do' computers!! All is well with her daughter Alyssa.

Linda apparently is also suffering from the dreaded 'Reunion Withdrawel Syndrome' that has struck quite a few of us and wants to try and make a get together after the New Year.... maybe meeting half way for dinner one weekend. I also mentioned the potential Georgia Spring Road Trip and she is on board.

2009 is fast approaching and we've got things to do and more people to see!!!!

I've got a feeling it is going to be a BRILLIANT year!!!

Love to all! :)

Hi Liz! So glad to hear Linda and Alyssa are well! Was thinking about her just the other day!

How was your birthday? Did you get caught up in the ice storm in Boston??? It sounds like some people are still without power. Its been quite balmy here........71 degrees today but it's supposed to chill out by the time I leave for Michigan, brrrrrrrr~

Y'all definitely need to plan a road trip to GA in the spring! My house is always open so the more the merrier.

Noreen Daly-Eytel

Hi Folks!
Sorry we haven't been on the forum in ages. We just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Know what we want from Santa up here in NH? Electricity!! Our house has power but about half of our town is still out 6 days after the storm and there are towns where the power company has no idea when they'll be turned on. It makes you appreciate the little things in life like.. water and heat and being able to flush without adding water to the tank! Anyway the communities are coming together and helping each other out. It really is inspirational and in the spirit of the season. Happy Holidays!

HI Noreen,
Be safe and hope you get power back on. We didn't have it for a few days, but that was in the summer. Didn't have to worry about the heat!! How are you all doing?? And to think we are supposed to get all this snow too!!
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family!!

Merry Christmas and a very Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!
Marlene, how's the team doing? We're 2 and 3,not bad considering we have 7 freshmen on the team. I did have to rip them a new one for wrestling like a bunch of girl soccer player's.
The in-laws are'nt comeing this year so we have room at the inn if anyone needs to freeze their butt off here in the mid west. Hope to see you all soon and stay warm.

All-

May you all have a wonderful Christmas and stay safe in your holiday travels! And many thanks to all of you with whom I treasure the friendships that have been renewed! Here is something that was sent to me today by my sister that I would love to share with you all:

The Charlie Schulz Philosophy

The following is the philosophy of Charles Schulz, the creator of the 'Peanuts' comic strip.

You don't have to actually answer the questions. Just ponder on them. Just read the e-mail straight through, and you'll get the point.

1. Name the five wealthiest people in the world.
2. Name the last five Heisman trophy winners.
3. Name the last five winners of the Miss America pageant.
4 Name ten people who have won the Nobel or Pulitzer Prize.
5. Name the last half dozen Academy Award winners for best actor and actress.
6. Name the last decade's worth of World Series winners.

How did you do?

The point is, none of us remember the headliners of yesterday.
These are no second-rate achievers.
They are the best in their fields.
But the applause dies..
Awards tarnish.
Achievements are forgotten.
Accolades and certificates are buried with their owners.

Here's another quiz. See how you do on this one:

1. List a few teachers who aided your journey through school.
2. Name three friends who have helped you through a difficult time.
3. Name five people who have taught you something worthwhile.
4. Think of a few people who have made you feel appreciated and special!!
5. Think of five people you enjoy spending time with.

Easier?

The lesson:
The people who make a difference in your life are not the ones with the most credentials..
the most money...or the most awards.
They simply are the ones who care the most

Pass this on to those people who have made a difference in your life, like I did.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all of my wonderful friends at MCHS!
Debbie

Margaret & Kevin,

It put a smile on my face when I read it so I was certain it would touch others! You both go way back with me and definitely put many smiles on my face from St. Peters, MCHS....and on! Thank you for all of those smiles!

Hi Everyone,
I hope many of you got my cards. I really wanted to send a personal Christmas greeting to all of you but I didn't have some addresses...so just know that all of you are in my hearts this Christmas. October 4th really was a great day...maybe my best day this year!...and the happiness I felt seeing many of you has definitely stayed with me. I hope the New Year brings you all joy and good health and a little prosperity wouldn't hurt either.
Maureen (Sully), Thanks for getting the military packages sent. I hope Sean knows how proud we are of him and all of our other classmates who are either active now or have served in the past.
Isn't it good to still see some people registering on the website? I hope others besides myself have heard from Angus. He sounds well and I was happy to get a response from him...Shade, Thankfully my worries were unfounded.
As we zoom towards Christmas Eve, I send mistletoe kisses to all of you.....and don't go too heavy on the eggnog O.K!
xoxo Lisa

Christmas is here again a time of hope and promises,

Lets all take the time to think of Sean M. and everyone else who is willingly in Harms way to keep us Safe. Family members and Friends who can't be with us at this special time of year.

I Wish all of you Peace and Happyness this Christmas and Prosperity for the New Year.

I will always be proud to be from the MCHS Class of '78

Merry Christmas

Tom

Lisa: I did get your card, and thanks - that was cool.

I'll spare everyone the weather report from Maui (but I did have to mow my lawn today). I hope my classmates back east have a white Christmas and happy holidays to all!

Greg
