Hi Sports fans,
I have only one question for all of you...moot as the point may be...Did HE land with BOTH feet in and touching?....I SAY NO!
Can't wait to hear what you think!
xoxo Lisa
ps Thank you Greg and Tom for giving me more credit than I deserve!

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Lisa-

It really looked like only one foot was touching! I have to agree with some of the commentary going on that the refs were really favoring the Steelers!

02/03/09 11:38 AM #1261

Thomas J. Cornine

Deb & Lisa,

Yes it looks as if the Ref's were favoring the Steelers.

However the feet were down he dragged the toes so it was a good catch. I think Warner knew there would be a defensive problem. I thought he tried to slow the last Cardinal scoring drive to eat up more tme but couldn't manage that.

it is snowing here now and I have to go into NYC.....Blehhhh

Tom

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

It might as well be snowing here the temps have dropped drastically! My girls would love to see a snow day, have only 2 here in 7 1/2 years!

Tom-
Didn't they review that last touchdown? And the ruling on the field stood? It was an incredible game, wasn't it!

OK- get this everyone, some good news for a change! One of my friends won a $25,000 Grand Prize today, and guess who she won it from..... HOOTERS! It was a "Passport" contest and they had to visit at least 20 Hooters restaurants to enter which they did (they dragged us along to some but of course we never entered the contest) and now look! She won $25,000!!!!! (Ok, keep the responses clean guys!)

02/03/09 11:36 PM #1263

Lisa Coppola

I think you can get Hooters for a lot less than $25,000.

HI All,
It was a great game of football!!. But I have to agree with Tom , LAst year giants vs patriots was the best!!.
Sorry to see the cardinals lose. But it was a well played game by the steelers. OKay Whose 92 on the steelers dirty Player. What an ass.
Maureen I hope by now your mom's house is under contract. THings in nj are not good for the real estate market. TAke the offer. Glad to hear your sister is doing well.
Deb, Hooters again!! I' thinking of a career change maybe I should consider Hooters. We'd have to change the name to Old Hooters. But Whatever.

Guys keep it clean.....

ok I'll try, although I agree with Lisa new Hooters cost less than 25,000.

So did the Earth move for those of us in Northern NJ on Sunday night?

I lived in Denville when the last on happened. I did not feel this one in central Jersey.

Wow, inverted.... Maybe now we will get some more particpation.

I spent the last 2 days going into and out of NYC, I froze my butt off.

How is everyone tonight.

Tom,
We're having company from upstate NY this weekend and don't you know the temps here are supposed to drop. This seems to happen every time I have company hoping for some nice weather. Well I guess 60 degrees or so is a lot better than 20.
Any ideas on how to shake up participation a bit? You, me, Debbie and Shade are bound to get sick of each other real soon. Greg comes on once in a while (Thankfully)!
and Hope is hiding again. Even Bucky and Liz have gone silent.BBBBUUUCCCKKYY. Where are you Hope? Cheggy, are you out there??? Kevin??? Anyone???
Bez...did you sell the house? I hope so . Would love to hear from you more often. Is anyone seeing anyone? Any sign of Myrtle or Carol anywhere.
I miss having everyone chatter.
xoxo Lisa

In my profile are a couple of pictures that include my son in law Mark. In about a month or so he'll be "downgraded" to ex-son in law. My daughter and he are divorcing after about 3 or so years. They had a beautiful wedding here, and lots of dreams, so it's kind of sad for me I guess. She's doing great though, which is good to know.

Just wanted to tell you's.

I recently saw a story about high school reunions and was prompted to go to the MCHS website where I found this wonderful site Cheryl has set up for the class.

I look forward to catching up with classmates. In the meantime, I’ve really enjoyed seeing pictures from the reunion and the great slideshow of our high school days.

Glad to hear everyone seems to be enjoying life.

Happy Trails! Maureen F

Greg,
It's a sad common story. Hopefully they will be okay in the long run. I was so touched by how many of our classmates, including yourself, have been in marriages of 20 years or more...but if they're not happy...life's too short you know. Try not to be sad. I'm sure she will look to both you and Rose for words of wisdom. At least I hope so.
Make the weekend a good one!

As long as in the end they are happier it will all be ok. I don't like hearing about this now especially since it is OUR children we now hear it about (YIKES). Even though mine are only 12 & 14 this year and I don't expect to hear it about them for quite some time.

Hey Maureen F is here now yippee......

Where is everyone else.

Lisa, if I follow what you said about your guest we should invite you up here then we would be in the 60's, when can you get on the flight???? my feet are still frozen.....

Per Lisa C's request... since nobody from school has seen me in 30+ years, I’ve posted some photos of me and the dogs. Have a good laugh! No pictures of hubby... he takes the pictures and doesn’t like to be in them.

Hi All,
I've been out of the loop for awhile, but nice to read the posts. Deb, I'm glad Christina is ok. I think as a parent, one never stops having concerns about one's children, no matter how old they are! We lived in Normandy Village, just up the street from Bucky. My parents moved from there to Maine about 4 years ago. Talk about long winters! It's hard to believe my parents will be married 50 years this summer! We'll probably all head up to Maine to celebrate!

I've been busy with being on the committee for our Diocesan Catholic Women's Conference. This is our 2nd year and we have over 1,000 women registered! (We were hoping for 3,000, but will be happy with 1500). It is on the 21st so the end is in sight. We are having Immaculee Illibagiza and Sister Rosalind Moss as our speakers. If you want to check it out, go to www.columbuscatholicwomen.com Last year the conference was at my parish, so this is a little bigger event!

We've had cold weather too, but this weekend spring is giving us a sneak peak-temps close to 50! There's been a lot of sickness going around strepp, stomach flu and upper respriatory virus with fever. William was out of school for a week-good thing he's in kindergarten! Hope you all are staying healthy and keeping warm! Hurry up and come, Spring!

Take Care,
Lisa Bruening

Hooray! Some of you have surfaced! I was beginning to think your computers were buried in the snow!!!

Its supposed to be real balmy here for the next week, temps in the mid 60s to 70s. Finally! Those cold nights are killers in Atlanta, our homes are not insulated like they are in the north. Lisa C- I have a friend from Michigan who always seems to bring the rain down here with her, so she's usually welcome since we've been in this dought. Speaking of drought, where is Kathy Gallagher???? Miss you girl!

Greg- Sorry to hear about your daughter's divorce. I am sure it isn't an easy thing to deal with. As you know being married yourself, marriage is all about compromise, right? I do agree with you, hopefully they will both be happier once the divorce s overwith.

Tom- Are you feet defrosted yet? Warmer temps should be headed your way.

By the way - my friend who won the Hooter's contest is being thrown a huge party at the Atlanta Hooters Restaurant. They are putting us all up the Hyatt across the street for the evening of the party. It should be quite an event! And she doesn't even need Hooters!

Hi all and especially Maureen,
Loved your pics and you are every bit as fabulous as you were thirty years ago!!! Can I just say, too, that I am in love with your pooches....and Dr Fitzgerald...oh I used to love watching his show! Hope to hear more from you in the near future...Glad you found the web site!
Buck...I wasn't stuttering. I just had to yell real loud so you'd come back on. We missed you.:)

Tom, I wish I was close enough to hop a plane and get to NJ more often. I'd so love to spend more time with all of you. I really am trying to stay in touch with people. 30 years went by too fast!
Deb, Lisa H. and anyone reading... keep writing in. I really love reading your posts.
Greg...your sense of humor is right up my alley. Keep the quick wit coming.
xoxo Lisa

I’ve been catching up on all the pictures and posts and it is wonderful to see that folks are living happy lives. Great of Cheryl to reconnect all of us.

My heart goes out to all of you that have battled with health issues and I pray for your recovery and continued success and good health. Thanks to all of you serving in the military or loaning your spouses or children to the military. You should be proud of your honorable service to our country.

Lisa C - you are too kind! Loved your photos too, especially of your cactus hug and the one with you and David. You have the most beautiful smile!

The dogs attract attention wherever we take them. We should start charging the busloads of foreign tourists who ask to take the dogs’ picture in front of the monuments!

02/08/09 04:27 PM #1281

Deborah Kozak (Martin)

Maureen- I agree with Lisa- your dogs are adorable! We have a cockapoo who always gets bows and a bandana when she's been groomed and it drives my husband nuts! He won't be seen walking with her!

Lisa- I couldn't agree with you more about the friendships we've been able to rekindle via this website, with many thanks to Cheryl! So many of you are so witty, sometimes the littlest thing you might say makes my day. So keep the forum alive!

Tommy,
Don't you agree, being almost 50 is the new 30. If that's the case then I'm only a 1/4 of the way there.(I'm planning on living a long time.)Besides my wife would kill me if I had a real mid life crises,
see ya,
Buck

Hello all from balmy Brooklyn. I was having a chat with my six year old today about who is cooler: Batman or Spiderman when somehow the conversation turned to Bruce Sprinsteen and my eleven year old asked me "Why do you like him so much anyway"? So, I launched into a history of music in NJ in the 70s and disco vs. Bruce. It brought back many memories. Remember "The Long and Winding Road" which was our prom theme?
Maureen: I remember your house so clearly. I remember having English Muffin Pizzas there for the first time ever. I thought that was so exotic a treat!
Spring is just around the corner for those who need Spring to come! Stay healthy and employed.
