God, that Mary Fisher must be a slave driver...Hey Elmer, Great to hear from you. I was certainly wondering how you were doing. Hope all is well. As you can see, we have been in some very deep discussions since you dropped off the blog...Not! Greg M. is farting and Mary Grace is still waiting for Bucky to skim her pool. I'm still roasting in Az. and Greg Nesbit is our prairie home companion. Debbie is shufflin' kids off to school...practically throwing them head first out of the nest. Carol's puppy is peeing all over her under construction home and of course, it's her fault. The only one having a lot of fun is Maureen F. because she's a little globtrotter extraordinairre...and we love her. Liz is in touch once in a while...and Margaret checks in with us occasionally and when she does she is great fun.
Tom is a wizard with words and a loyal friend...he has kept in touch...and recently called me a goddess...his favorite booze is Irish whiskey and when he's drinking that is when I seem more like a goddess. Bez is still our biggest and bestest cheerleader. We hear from Bill Casey, JoAnn and Glenda from time to time. Harold got a year older and we wish we could have seen him blow out the candles. I'm saying all this and I know you could just go back and read but Mary is probably looking over your shoulder cracking the whip so I thought I'd save you some time!
I plan to be in NJ in early October and hopefully we can get together...would love to see you and as many others as possible. Glad you're back

Lisa and all: Good to hear from you and everyone.

Mary is a slavedriver!

I'm going to check this website at least two times a week. I'll be here in October, we should get together--a mini-31st reunion.

I've had an interesting six months. You know you're getting old when your niece announces she's pregnant (not an accident) and your nephew (her brother) runs off and gets married (all in one week). I hate to admit it, but my younger sister will be a grandmother next month and I'll be a great uncle. This makes me feel old.

Elmer, you are not old. 50 is the new 30!!
ps I'm still 49/29.

Lisa, so glad to hear that you are venturing to New Jersey again in October. I will start planning the get together now. What are the dates that you will be in town? I'm hoping not the first weekend in October because I will be away with my sisters down the shore for a "sistas weekend".

Lisa Coppola

Maureen,
The dates are...of course... Sept 30 thru 0ct.6...will you be around for any of those days? I didn't have too many options as I am coming for my sister's B-day on the third of Oct. I would certainly love to see you but it doesn't sound good. If anything changes I'll let you know.

Hmmmm.....seems there might be plenty of time to plan something for meeting down the shore....Maureen?

MMMMM. Maybe something could be planned in Monmouth County.....

Lisa, I'll be leaving for Wildwood Crest on Thursday, Oct. 1st and returning on Sunday, Oct. 4th. Do you think you would be up to getting together on Sept. 30th the day you arrive? I was thinking that maybe we could plan something for October 5th, but I unfortunately have a meeting that night for work. :( If you guys are interested in meeting in WC come on down.

Oh heck....I took "down the shore" to mean Ocean County! I don't think I've ever been that far down New Jersey Bez! Lol!

Maureen Bezold (Como)

Liz, you don't know what you are missing. That part of the Jersey shore is beautiful. Once you go to WC you won't want to go to any of the other beaches at the Jersey shore.

Tom,

What about the Monmouth racetrack?!? Bez, I'll come pick you up from Wildwood for a few hrs & then I'll return you to the firmen!! Lisa, Will you be staying with me?? I have the room!!?

Hi Everyone.
As soon as I finalize reservations I will let you know. I think making plans for the 30th could be risky. Doubtful I could even get into Newark before 5 or 6 pm because I pick up 3 hours on my way East...or is that lose three hours? At any rate, I wouldn't want to plan something and then get delayed on my flights.
Frankly, anywhere we gather would be fine...Carol, Monmoth race track was one of my Dad's favorite hang outs....and yes I might hit you up for a night or two lodging...depends on if my Mom comes East with me or not...That's a long story...I'll spare you. By the way...which room does the puppy pee in????? I shouldn't dare ask that question and hope you know I am joking. As I write this I am doing laundry galore...slip covers from the sofa that the cat had a very disgusting accident on and all the linen from my bed including the comforter and sheets which I found covered with cat puke about a half hour ago. Never and I do mean never again will I have four 12 year old cats at the same time. I don't even know which one to blame...and then I feel bad cause they can't help it. Anyone know where I can get some of those 1950's plastic slipcovers my great Aunts used to put on their furniture? I might need to go that route.
Anyway, I am so touched that my friends want to see me..
I will be in touch so we can do better planning.

When I took Nadia to Point Pleasant a few weeks ago, the smell of the ocean/beach was so bad that I have to take a weekend and go to Charleston just to replace the memory with a good beach experience! I have heard that there are plenty of other Jersey beaches that are tons better, though, just don't feel up for much exploring lately. :P Must see Lisa while she is here, though, so someone figure something! =)

Liz, I'm on it. As soon as Lisa has firmed up her schedule I will definitely try and plan the get together. Hopefully I will be able to join in.

Oh heck....wish my brother still lived in Jersey i'd plan a visit too! Sounds like y'all will have a blast! And lucky Tom...all you woman and one male!

Lisa- sorry I will miss not seeing you in jersey but perhaps on my next visit to see my brother in CA or my friend in Scottsdale we can hook up. Unless you're in GA, I have a 13 1/2 year old dog that is starting to have senior moments for me to clean up :{ who would love to meet you.

Where is everyone else? At the shore? Those Jersey shore days sure do bring back memories! But I have to say the prettiest beach in the U.S. that I've ever been to is in Destin, FL (east of Pensacola). Even the beaches in Cozumel Mexico weren't as pretty. Oh wait, I forgot! Hawaii takes first, then Destin! (sorry greg!) Its just been so longggggggggggggggggg...actually 25 years next week! Say hello to paradise for me greg!

Hi Friends,
I have some good/bad news to report. My plans are unexpectedly changing because my Mom, who is moving from Cal. back to Tucson, unexpectedly sold her house in 1 day to the first couple who came through. So now, her entire itinerary is pushed forward with her coming permanently to Tucson, the week I was supposed to be in NJ. I don't know why I should find this surprising as I rarely make vacation plans which go smoothly. Nevertheless, it might actually work out better for all of us. My thoughts at the moment are to push my plans back a month and come into NJ the first week of November, but I have to hold off a bit on reservations.Sooooooooo, let us resume chit chat as usual and make plans for a little further down the line. Hope this will work out.

Deb...we will connect. I've been meaning to call you. HOpe the girls are doing well.

Greg, Hope your son and his bride will be very happy! Congrats to them.

Bez, Liz, Carol, Tom,I am looking forward to seeing you again.

Maureen F....are you out there?.
Shade, are you out there?
Bucky, Cheggy, Vince, Greg N, Hope you are enjoying these final days of summer.
Remember how there was always that little bit of chill in the air in September when we'd go back to school with our uniforms and new bookbags and pens and notepads ready to go.....ahhhhhhh sweet memories.
xoxo Lisa

Happy Birthday JoAnn!!

Greg I don't know if I could handle 67 days of 100 degrees right now I know I don't like the wet weather we have had this year.

Hello Lisa, Liz, Deb, Maureen how was Frampton?

Well looks like the house has sold, we should close in September, thats the good news bad news is my wife and I are going separate ways after that. I will be in Tinton Falls, NJ she will move to Ocean Twp. about 10 minutes apart.

A Birthday Jackpot today. Wishes for a great day to JoAnn, Tony Savino and Cheryl Smith R. down in Florida. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Is it 50 for all of you?

Tom...as I said before. I wish you both the best. It was a long hard run, yes? I have to remind myself constantly of the way life changes for the good and the bad. Try not to get overwhelmed...that's the challenge. Stay the course as our classmate Bill mentioned a couple of months ago. Thinking of you.

Birthday wishes all around! Wow.....lot's going on with everyone as well.
Sorry your vacation got muffed Lisa, but hopefully it will give us all an opportunity to see you in November! Tom.....that just really sucks. Hopefully you will be able to work things out....it's not pretty out here in the world of single almost 50 year olds! =P
Great pics of your granddaughter, Kathy...Congratulations!

Tom-
My heart goes out to you and your boys during this difficult time. But I know it will end up being a good thing for you. Just hang in there and know you have alot of friends who care about you and want the best for you!

Debbie Suarez- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And many more! Hope all is well!

Lisa- Bummer about not being able to get to NJ! Things always happen for a reason. Yesterday my oldest was heading back to college in a friend's car, and they ended up in a 2 hour traffic jam due to a tractor trailer jack-knifing and causing an acid spill. We were annoyed her ride was late and now I am THANKFUL her ride was late! She could have been involved in that wreck! You are doing a good thing by helping your mom (sounds like fun)

Bez- Can't get over those pictures of Frampton - WOW! Was he still spectacular?
