David Hagele Hagele

Right after graduating from Lewis University in 1992 with an Aviation Administartion degree, I started working for United Airlines. I'm 3rd generartion to work there & I've been there ever since, working various management & non-management roles. Working for them has enabled me to exploring the world, especially to the South Pacific, as I typically spend a month in that part of the world, annually.

During the week of Thanksgiving of 2017, my new wife & I had a great destination wedding in the Cook Islands with 49 in attendance. We just spent 2 weeks celebrating our honeymoon in the rain forests of Borneo in February, with heaps of close-encounters with wildlife.

A bunch of us in the neighborhood were all playing sports with one another, including Scott & Brian Frankenthor & Bob Chantry. During the summer prior to entering our freshman year, we all really got into badminton & played it nearly daily. Well, during the first week of school at Maine West, Bob Chantry & I decided to sign up for the badminton team. A few weeks went by & we were really disappointed that we didn't hear back from the coach - especially since we thought we'd make the team because we felt that were great at the sport. Turns out, badminton was only offered for girls at MW, not boys.
