Obituary for Carlene Kay Moule, 1941-2013

Carlene Hegle Moule, a resident of Milford, died at her home on December 21, 2013. She was 72 years old. Born in Alma, Michigan on June 1, 1941 the daughter of Charles Dudley Carl Hegle and Donelda Phillips Hegle, Carlene grew up in Detroit and graduated from Redford High School. She spent parts of her childhood in Ithaca, Michigan and always enjoyed family gatherings at the cottage in Houghton Lake.

 

Following vocational training she went to work with United Airlines. Carlene enjoyed working in reservations and in the baggage claim with the airline for over thirty-eight years. Her work with the airline allowed her to book regular trips to Hawaii and a yearly family trip to Disneyland. They were vacations that her family will always cherish. She also enjoyed many travels throughout the United States, Europe and Japan. At home she enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing softball and knitting and crocheting clothing and afghans for her family. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Donelda Dee Hegle on December 11, 2013, and a brother, Phil (Ellen Hegle-Jacobson) Hegle. She is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Scott) Bisque and Tamara (Steve) Rollins; her son, James Moule; grandchildren, Kristen Bisque, Stephen and Michelle Rollins, Samantha and Adam Moule; her father, Carl Hegle; sisters, Sandy (Fred) Suttle and Kimberly Pence; brother, Greg (Sandi) Hegle and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. 

A Celebration of Carlene and Doneldas lives will be held at the Bakers of Milford, 2025 S. Milford Road, Milford, on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 1-5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Fund, 300 Rosewood Drive, Danvers, MA 01923.
