Sandy and I were friendly and familiar with each other at Redford, but not close. However since we got reacquainted in 2009, we've stayed in steady touch. I just read my birthday wish to her last August, and to think that they are BOTH gone just since then is shocking!  But Sandy depended on Al and he wanted to (and did) take care of her with her wheelchair needs, so I can see God's mercy in this timing.  They both loved the Lord, and I'm confident they are smiling at each other yet again.

Sandy was a wonderful lady who was blessed with a wonderful husband.  Sandy and I were friends in grade school although we went to different schools.  I especially remmeber going to parties with her and to her parents' lake cottage.

We lost touch at Redford, and did not meet up again until the Redford 50th reunion weekend in Scottsdale, AZ.  I was one of the organizers and she called me to get hotel recommendations.  Sandy, Allan, Ann and I met for dinner on Friday night and sat together at the reunion luncheon on Saturday.

Since that time Ann and I have been in frequent contact with her.  We were especially saddened for her in January when she notified us that Allan had passed.  We knew how much she needed and loved him.

With all her challenges in life she never lost her faith or her love of life.  She will be missed.
