I graduated from Harding grade school with Tom. When I located 'him' in my classmate searching, only to learn from his wife of his death at age 44 in 1985, I cried with her.
He was a super nice boy all through grade school. Tom was fun, friendly, kind, smart, thoughtful, and not only gentle, but a gentleman, even at that young age as we were growing up and being prepared for high school.
It was just so difficult for me to learn of his early death. They had four children, from 20 down to 12, at the time of the massive heart attack.
