Bruce Lorey and I lived in the same neighborhood and attended Pitcher School together. He probably was the first boy I ever danced with in gym class or kissed when we started having neighborhood "spin the bottle" parties at about age 11 or 12. He was fun and easy to be around, respectful of girls, and with just enough mischievous that on our walks home from school, a couple of times we stopped at his house and made crank calls...i.e., picked out a random phone number in the book, called it and said "is your refrigerator running?...well then you better go chase it." We laughed till we cried. He also, as I did, came from family in the U.P. so I am disappointed that we will not be able to connect through this reunion. I hope to see him in Heaven.
