William August Ossa
July 1, 1941 - June 27, 2021
"Babu Bill" Ossa departed this world June 27, 2021 just shy of his 80th birthday to seek adventures in his next life. Bill was born and raised in Michigan, but moved on to live in various places, including Japan, Iran, Virginia, and California.
After a 4 year stint in the US Navy, Bill pursued a career in the Engineering field, retiring as a Metallurgical Engineer on contract for NASA.
Bill had many passions in life, including hiking, identifying birds and plants while in nature, contra dancing and traveling. He loved to explore other cultures and was particularly fond of his Peace Corps service in Tanzania and his backpacking journeys in Southeast Asia. Bill also enjoyed working on multiple projects around his home and garden in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Bill is survived by his daughter Deborah Everitt and son Keith Ossa, his sister, Rosmarin Elaine Bohrer, nephew Geoffrey Bohrer, niece Suzanne Bohrer, and grandson Levi Everitt.
