Pam seemed to be one of those classmates who was at school, because she needed to get a high school diploma. Hey, we all needed to get a high school diploma, so that sits right in my mind. She did stay to herself a lot, or perhaps she had her own group of friends I didn't know. Whatever the situation was, she and I shared friendly greetings in and out of classes, and I always respected her. I understand, sadly, that she died in her early 40's of cancer.
