Georgeanne Dee (Leffler) Verbridge

March 10, 1941  -  March 29, 2025

Georgeanne Dee Verbridge of Brighton, MI passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025. She was 84 years old.

She is survived by her loving husband, Frederick Verbridge; her brother, Bruce (Janice) Leffler; her nieces and nephews, Jennifer (John) Bakos, Jason (Jamie) McCune, Lauren (Dan) Poss, Brent (Merrilee) Verbridge, and Elin Guzman, as well as many great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Georgeanne is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Leffler; her sister, Susan McCune, and her brother-in-law, Ken (Marion) Verbridge.

Georgeanne lived an eclectic life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and a life well-lived. Born at St. Francis Hospital in Pittsburg, PA, on March 10, 1941, Georgeanne graduated from Detroit Redford High School on January 30, 1959. It was during her high school years that she met Fred at Strathmoor Methodist Church, at the age of fourteen. Their bond grew over the years, and after eight years of dating, they married on September 8, 1963. Together, they shared a partnership rooted in love, adventure, and mutual respect.

After earning her degree in education from Wayne University in 1963, Georgeanne chose to leave teaching behind to support Fred in the business they co-founded, V-Line Precision Products. For over 35 years, she ran the business office alongside Fred, demonstrating remarkable organizational skills, a quick wit, and a warm, kind demeanor that kept everyone in line. Known as “Princess” or “Mrs. V” by Fred, her unwavering commitment to him and the company helped guide them through decades of success, and her support and dedication were central to the business's accomplishments. Georgeanne’s life with Fred was filled with shared passions, including travel, wintering in Florida, and restoring their cherished 1914 Model T—a project Fred began without telling her, which became a labor of love for both.

Known affectionately as Aunt ‘George’ to her nieces and nephews, Georgeanne was a steadfast presence at family events, always attending graduations, bridal showers, weddings, and family holidays. Although Fred would humorously claim that the best meal Georgeanne made was "reservations," she was well-known for bringing her beloved hors d'oeuvres to family gatherings, a crowd-pleasing favorite at every event. Her love and support for her family, along with her joyful spirit, will be remembered by all who knew her. Georgeanne’s passing leaves a deep void, but her memory and the love she shared with Fred and her family will live on forever.
