Sandra Wiles-Carroll (Sheibels)
January 24, 1941 - August 28, 2025
Sandra Lee Sheibels was born to John Sheibels and Lela Lischkge on January 24, 1941. She graduated from Redford High School in 1959. She married Edgar Wayne Pounds in 1960 and had one child. Cheryl Lynne Pounds in May of 1961. She divorced him in 1963. Started dating Herbert Marvin Wiles and married him in 1966.
They had no children together, but Sandy embraced his 2 children from his first marriage. They remained married until his death in 2002. He was survived by Sandra and his children, Doug and Dan (Sandy) Wiles, Step-Daughter Cheryl (Joseph) Valvona.
She worked at the CPA office of Clarence Johnson for many years. He encouraged her to take classes for accounting as she had a knack for numbers. After taking some classes at Macomb Community College, she took an IRS Preparatory class in 1990 and never looked back. Started her own business Sanwiles Services,Inc. Certified with the State of Michigan in 1992. She handled the monthly accounting services for several small businesses. She also had several private clients she handled their yearly Income tax Returns for many years. Sandy was a Public Notary from 1999-2004 and she was a member of the American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers for many years. She and her husband Herbert enjoyed the 1929 Model A they bought and took it to car shows. Sandy took a class on Condo Ownership and then became the Treasurer of the Lakeside Condo's.
She married Bernard (Jack) Carroll on July 31,2005. They bought property in Arizona, but sold it to settle in "The Villages" of Florida. They enjoyed vacationing, golfing and socializing with the neighbors. She was on the entertainment committee for the Rio Ranchero subdivision along with being their Treasurer until 2021. She was married to Jack until his death in 2021. She relocated back to Michigan in May of 2024 to live with family. She moved into Serene Gardens of Rochester Hills in December of 2024. She remained there until her death on August 28,2025 after some serious medical complications.
She is survived by her Daughter Cheryl (Mark) Kuligowski, Grandchildren Katilynn Moss and Joseph Valvona. Nieces Diana (Mike) Fahey, Barbara (Todd) Brown, Wendy (Mike) LeFevre, Denise (Ron) Zummer, Nephew Russell John Sheibels, Niece Janet's Husband Mike Estes and many other nieces, nephews, grandchildren and extended family in the "Sheibels" "Wiles" and "Carroll" families. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Lela Sheibels, Brother Russell (Betty) Sheibels, Sister Dorothy (William) O'Dell and Baby Brother Donald and Niece Janet Estes. Husbands Edgar Wayne Pounds, Herbert Marvin Wiles and Bernard (Jack) Carroll.
The family will receive friends for viewing from 11 AM to 1 PM on Thursday, September 4th at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home, 2600 Crooks Rd., Troy (between Maple and Big Beaver). Funeral begins at 1 PM. Please click the link below to view livestream of the service.
