John Revak Obituary

1941-2024

John James Revak, age 83, passed away on June 5, 2024, after a long battle with cancer.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Helea Revak.

He was JoAnn's beloved husband for 59 years. The proud father of Elizabeth Revak and Dr. Elson Revak (Dr. Annette Revak); Also the very proud grandfather of Connor Revak, Kaili Revak, and Ameli Revak. John is survived by his sister, Elaine Kern, brother-in-law Dale Kern, and brother, Joseph Revak; and loving nieces and cousins.

John was born in Detroit, Michigan, and graduated from Redford High School in January 1959. Shortly after he joined the Airforce and was stationed at Davis Monthan Airforce Base in Tucson, Arizona. There he met the love of his life, JoAnn Stubblefield. They were married on May 8, 1965. John loved to race his dirt motorcycles and ride on the street with friends when not racing.

John coached baseball and football for boys and teenagers. He also loved watching both daughter and son play sports and loved all the professional Detroit teams as well! After retiring as an IBM Tech for over 30 years he enjoyed reading novels and keeping up with world events. Also, John loved traveling. Both he and JoAnn went to all 50 states and the 7 continents.

There will be no services at this time as requested by John.

Ken Barna

John was a elementary classmate at Hubert, later a high school classmate at Redford.

He was soft spoken, and never really argued with you about anything.  We kind of drifted 

apart in high school, seeing each other once in a while.

John was a good friend and classmate.
