Hello all of my fellow classmates. Several of you have sent messages inquiring how Ken is doing with his cancer treatment. WHEW! We have had a roller coaster past 30 days. His surgery was on Nov. 14th. He did great through surgery and the doctor's were able to remove the tumor. There was no cancer in the lymph nodes removed so this was a great prognosis. But, he had a few set backs after surgery. He contracted pneumomia 3 days after surgery and then he had a slight heartattack on the 4th day. He spent 10 days in the hospital this round. We did get to come home for Thanksgiving week, but he went back into hospital on Dec 3rd with dehydrationa and Kidney failure. We spent 4 days is ICU. He has regained all Kidney function and we have been home over a week at this time. I went back to work today for the first time since his surgery on Nov. 14th. He is still battling an infection and is suppose to start Chemo again on Dec. 22nd. I have been told this round of Chemo will be more aggressive than the last. YuK! He is in good spirits though and since you last saw him he has lost over 30 pounds. (I had to go to and follow weight watchers for 6 months just to lose 20 pounds) and every pound he lost...I think I gained. So we both still need your prayers. Ken and Rochelle Oldham
