Dale , please check but I am pretty positive that Gary Ball passed away in 1988. Johnny Baker and I were talking and he says that his son was born the night that Gary passed, because he got the phone call and his wife went into labor that night.

I just wanted to give my thanks to Mike Coalson who is also an Administrator of this website. He has done a great deal of work finding and posting info for our fallen classmates and is also an important partner in the ongoing creation of our class website. Thanks Mike!!

Hey Dale

Thanks for the continued updates and emails. I finally took the time to get on over here and sign up to the site.
All the way down here in FLA and not sure if I will be able to attend the reunion yet.
It would be nice to see some schoolmates and pass around some ear blistering music. hahaha!
Hopefully will catch some break time and be able to get on up there.
This site looks great. Nice job on it!

And a big howdy to all those that find their way here.

Let me join in the applause for the website and the work the reunion committee has done. Great job!

Hoping to make it from PA to VA for the reunion. It'll be great to catch up with everyone.

Hugs and prayers for Class of '78 - the first full-fledged Cougars!

Many, many thanks to the Reunion Committee and to all the folks who have created this wonderful web site. I gather from the messages that special thanks are due to Dale, Mike and others. Looking back at our good times in high school makes me feel a bit younger. It's especially great for those of us who have wandered away from Va over the years. It will be a real pleasure to see everyone again in a few weeks. All the best from Greenville, SC.

Thanks!

I am so "addicted" to this website. My heartfelt appreciation goes to the reunion committee. We will never know the hours that have gone into this planning. Some people go far above and beyond any imaginable expectations...COMMITTEE, YOU HAVE OUTDONE YOURSELVES!
Dale, you have a special gift in knowing how to touch hearts in so many different ways and you've covered them all. Many Thanks and keep up the great work!

Thank you Phyllis, you and all of our fellow classmates are the ones who contribute the most to this site. We really appreciate your participation. The comments you've made on our Memorial page are inspiring and will help keep our departed ones alive in our hearts.

I encourage all of us to actively participate. And I thank each and every one of you who have signed on. It has really grown way beyond my expectations. Hopefully it will help keep us all "Stuck in the 70's".

WE ARE WISE...WE ARE GREAT...WE'RE THE CLASS OF 78!

Phyliss,

Like you, - I am addicted as well. It is so much fun to go on and to read about what everyone has been doing since we graduated. It is a blessing that Dale and Mike are on the committee. I am not computer literate at all. I think that by luck that I just hit the right buttons when needed. (Smile) Thanks again guys. Oh by the way Phillis, your grandson is very sweet.

Talk to you soon.

I don't know if you are aware of this but I work with Sam Spence and everyday he says look at this person or come see this, so now I am also hooked. The website is just awesome. It has been really good connecting with people I grew up with. It is so hard for me to believe we have been out of high school 30 years. This will be my first reunion and I am really excited about seeing everyone. Encourage people if you see them to hurry and join in on the fun. It really is fun. We get in such a rush that we don't take time to appreciate past friends and it's nice to reconnect!
Dale,
I love the website and thanks so much for linking mine to it as well. Making Memories has only been in business a year and this helps spread the word.

I hope everyone has safe travels to Dublin and the weather holds up. It has been wonderful being able to catch up with so many friends from the PCHS days and to check in on what everyone is up. Due to a family commitment we will not be attending, however everyone will be in my thoughts and I hope to hear some details of the reunion as well as see some photos..

What a great reunion! The football game was a blast - WE WON! That's a unique experience for the Class of 78!

I didn't recognize everyone, but only because our classmates have matured and become even better looking (than we did in 78).... That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
;-D

I missed the picnic for my Dad's 75th birthday, but the comments were glowing.

The social was incredible - there were so many thoughtful touches - the memorial table for our classmates who have passed on, the rolling slideshow, taking pictures of the class and classmates by elementary school, activity (athletes, band, etc). There was such a warm camaraderie - it just flowed. It was a terrific evening. Thank you again to those who planned it, those who came and those who sent warm wishes from afar.

During my 7 hour drive home I listened to Bon Jovi - one verse really fit

"Doesn't matter where you are, Doesn't matter where you go,
If it's a million miles away or just a mile up the road

Take it in,
Take it with you when you go

Who says you can't go home?"

What was "taken in" was a lot of fun, great fellowship and new and renewed friendships. What a great thing to take back.

Hat's off to the reunion committee! You've done an outstanding job - organizing 3 events is no small feat.

I truly believe that there has never been a better PCHS reunion of any kind or any year. I was only a small part of the Reunion Committee but they included me as one of their own. I am just overwhelmed by their friendship, professionalism, resourcefulness, teamwork and their common bond...the "Spirit of '78". I now exude a pride for my class and my school that up until this weekend...was not as strong as it could have been. I feel that this website has directly caused the demise of many of the invisible walls (that probably existed only in my mind) which may have once stood between us. I talked with so many nice people, many for the first time. I was able to laugh and to be myself. We're all family. We're all alike. I'm sure no one will ever regret attending. Hopefully, we'll all be alive and well for the next reunion. Reunion Committee; I praise you. I love all of you. I love being part of and love...the
Class of '78.

This reunion was fabulous. I'm so thankful to all of you who decided, "Yes... we must do it" and got everything together so wonderfully and so quickly. To all of you who made it, what a great time!!! To all of you who didn't, we truly missed you - and you missed a wonderful weekend. I'm so glad I got to go! Hope to see you all again soon!

To the reunion committee,

I’m sure that each of you has been told repeatedly just how wonderful the reunion was and how great a job that you all did. I’m writing to concur, but I also want to reflect a sentiment that Constance expressed in her welcome yesterday and that Larry captured in his email this morning. For the past 30 years I’ve lived in a variety of places across the country, but I’ve always had a strong sense of a connection to Pulaski County and the people I grew up with. In the past few years, just driving back to town and seeing places but not people hasn’t been enough to realize the connection I’ve always felt. I can truly say that seeing everyone yesterday provided a necessary concreteness to renew and strengthen old bonds and to establish new ones. There is something about a collective sense of history that can’t be put in words, but can be truly felt whenever folks come together who share it. Thanks!
