Howdy class! Seems like this section was getting a little "dusty" so I thought I be the first to post here in 2009! Please continue to help spread the word about our site. We are extending our domain name for another 5 years to incorporate our 35th reunion! So stay in touch!!! HAPPY SPRING!!!!!!

The Reunion Committee got together this past Saturday at Sal's for first our own little reunion since the big reunion....can I come up with another word?
Agenda-
* We need a Balloon Committee for the next reunion.
* General comments and fun recollections of the weekend.
* Good Food.
* Good Beverage (some free, thanks to Sal's wait staff)
* Lots of Laughs
Anyway, Dale put a new picture of us along with some of the spouses on our REUNION COMMITTEE page. We hope to do this quarterly and are talking about going to Donna Hodge Surber's restaurant she just opened at the Graham's Forge area - Fox Mountain Inn. The get together is not just for us- it's for any alumni that would like to join. Now- Mike (Mabry), we know you aren't a '78 graduate nor an employee of Donna's- yes, we have your number! No date set yet, we will be posting it here though. Happy Spring to all!

Ok Marcia, I think I've pinpointed the balloon problem. Seems our "balloon testers" were a little over zealous in their duties. See "Past Reunion Photos" pic number 3. And I borrowed a pic posted by one of our classmates showing "THE CRASHER" at our dance. This one can be seen on the Past Reunion Photos page also but you'll have to scroll down to the dance photos to see it. Caye also has a shot of him in her profile. This is all in fun so hopefully no one will be offended.

Yes- Dale, remember Mr. Whipple and "Pleeeease don't squeeze the Charmin".. Larry and Larry- same to you guys.."Next reunion, pleeeaase don't squeeze the balloons!"

I see the pic of the CRASHER in the PAST REUNION photos! In scanning further down the pics...if those at the reunion didn't notice that Anne and I wore the same print blouse on Saturday night- they might do a double take looking at these pictures!!!

Speaking of same print fabric- in HS, Bill Grinstead's mom made a shirt for him from the same fabric my mom had made a blouse for me! Not planned, not planned-mind you! Bill reminded me of that when we talked by phone last summer. It was black with pinks- heads of gypsies, silky fabric- "yeah- disco down, baby!"

Hey guys I had to post a momma brag. My baby is graduating from VT in 15 days. I can't believe it. I'm heading for a heafty case of empty nest syndrome. He is moving to Gathersburg Maryland to work as a project manager for Hess construction. Do we have any class mates up there? Also if any of you have kids that went to school with Michelle Byrd she is my niece and is leaving for Europe to tour with the African Childrens Choir in June. LOVED THE REUNION!! Thanks to all who encouraged me to go!

Hi everyone. Have a question. Does anyone know the website address for class of 79 that will be the week of 24th Sept this year? I am trying to contact someone so that I can possibly do their reunion pictures.
By the way,
Making Memories will also be making the all class Dublin High School memories on the 19th Sept. I encourage all of you 8th grade Dublin Dukes to be there.
We just had a family reunion on my Daddy's side and it was a huge success. I did a family photo book of old pictures and close to 1000 was submitted. It was really something. I hope to have some of those posted on my website soon.

Hope to hear from someone soon,

Thanks much,

Hey guys,

I have been in Kentucky now for 15 years. I am just now realizing how much I miss Virginia. Went home this past week and even went to New River Junction and took a memory trip on a tube. That used to be a regular activity during the summer. Oh well, anyway, I was coherced into starting "facebook" while I was home for the Reunion. I have made contact with many classmates and really enjoy it. If you have facebook, look us up. Its fun. I love this website as well, I visit it often to see who has checked in.

I am already looking forward to the next reunion. I want to thank again all those who put so much time and effort into getting the 30th going. I wish I could have been there to help, maybe next time. And, YES - John....we want another hour of your music, Please!!!!! We will just make sure we take a nap sometime so we can stay up past midnight.

Great to catch up with all of you, see you soon.

The Riff is older than me.(Jan. 3rd) If I remember correctly, David Congrove is the same age as me.(Jan.4th) David and I went to Claremont in the first grade in Miss Fagg's class (Mrs. Carter). I remember we had the same birthday. I moved to Dublin at start of 2nd grade, Summer of '67. So...there...Riff! You're older! LOL!

Still alive, I guess that in its self is an accomplishment.  I have a wonderful husband.  We have been married 26 years.  We have two cats , they are our kids.  I am not in the best of health, I have spinal problems that have me disabled.  I am so lucky to have a wonderful husband that takes care of me.  I try to go to a race or two every year and go to the cabin in the mountains and disappear.  We spend alot of time with our best friends, I went to school with in Princeton.  They are family, not just friends.  I still love my rock 'n roll and catch a good concert when I can.  I try to catch up with friends on Face Book.  I hope that everyone of the Class of "78 are happy and well.  Love life, family, friends, and be happy!!!
