The following obituary for Rosalie Lombardi Labare was published in the Springfield Republican on October 26, 1997:

Rosalie A. (Lombardi) LaBare, 51, of 12 Garland Ave. died Saturday of cancer at a local nursing home. She was a senior mail floater at Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co. for nine years and left due to illness in 1996. Born in Springfield, she lived most of her life here. She was a graduate of East Longmeadow High School and attended Springfield Technical Community College. She was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Chicopee and St. Joseph's Church in East Longmeadow. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne's Society of St. Joseph's Church. She belonged to the Women of the Moose Lodge 1849 in Chicopee. She leaves her husband, David J.; two sons, David P. of Ware and John A. of Long Island, N.Y.; two daughters, Karen A. Morphue and Marguerite M. LaBare, both of Chicopee; her father, Joseph C. Lombardi of East Longmeadow; a brother, Joseph Lombardi of Springfield; and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Tuesday morning at Tylunas Funeral Home in Chicopee, with a service in St. Patrick's Church and burial in the parish cemetery. Calling hours are Monday afternoon and evening.
