2002 EAST LONGMEADOW - Virginia C. "Ginny" (Monson) Gurney, 55, of 20 Hedgerow Lane, died Monday at home. Born in Springfield, she had been a resident here for over 50 years. Ginny was a 1964 graduate of East Longmeadow High School, Univeristy of Bridgeport and later attended &graduated from Bay Path Junior College, She also was a graduate of the Conn. Center for Massage Therapy in Newington and was a self-employed massage therapist in East Longmeadow. She was a member of the American Massage Therapy Assoc. and enjoyed reading and gardening. Ginny is survived by her husband of 33 years, John Gurney; and two daughters, Jennifer Gurney and Janel Gurney, both of East Longmeadow. She leaves a brother, Gary Monson of Jacksonville, Fla.; and her parents, Paul and Frances Monson of Port Orange, Fla. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service Saturday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at Forastiere-Smith Funeral Home, 220 North Main St., East Longmeadow.
