Tina and I met in grammar school at Alden Terrace.  She was a good friend throughout the years in EMHS.  She was a cheerleader and Captain of the Cheerleaders.  We  went to TCU ( I dropped out) and Tina got her degree in teaching, specifically deaf children. She worked at a school on the north shore of Long Island. She later married and moved to California and had her son Adam.  Before she died she was blessed to meet her granddaughter.

Tina succumbed to liver cancer in March, 2004.  I was very glad to have her at my house for a week during our 2002 reunion and had a wonderful chance to reconnect with her. We had a great visit.  Got to spend extra time with Chris and Emelia......too.

She is survived by her son Adam and her granddaughter.......

Tina was one of my good friends in High School so when I found out she lived so close to me I was really happy. We first started talking on the phone about a year or less before our last reunion.  I found out she was sick and for a long time she didn't want me to come and visit her.  Eventually we did get together-she had a hard time focussing and I helped her with some paper work, we had lunch together and just talked.  She was really happy that she could make it to the reunion and see her old friends again.  I think it meant a lot to her. After the reunion her condition got worse and it was sad to see but she was a fighter and stayed strong till the end.  She is missed ..........

I met Tina in 1st. grade and went through so many years in school together. I was so glad to see her at the 40 th reunion and we had a short talk about Elmont. I was saddened to here of her passing. If it were not for that reunion, she just would have been another name of people I met in my life. Now, since the reunion and seeing her again,  she will alyays be rememberd in my mind.     Bob Rusnak

I will always cherish our Lindy to Run Around Sue @ the reunion, our trip into NYC with Sharon & Emelia & sharing dinner @ my house.  It was the 1st time we danced together, as we often did, what seemed zillions of yrs. ago.  Our 3 some friendship with Arlene worked against all odds. It is, and always will be, among my fondest memories. To this day I still get filled up when thinking about Tina. I have no doubts she is blissfully happy in the hands of Our Lord & smiles down on her son & granddaughter ( & I hope all of the class of 62 too).
