Farewell, my good buddy, dear friend, special lady.  Together, as the team of Growney, Murray and LaPointe (aka Golden Girls), we roamed the estate sales of Bergen County, savored sunsets from South Carolina to New York State, monopolized tables at Nellie’s and Matthew’s Diner for hours, laughed a lot and enjoyed a very special camaraderie for over a decade.  Memories of the good times live on, but life on this planet will never be quite the same without you. May you rest in eternal peace and grace Heaven with the sunshine of your beautiful smile.

This is such sad news. I came to know Mary Ann more recently when she helped me with the closing of my childhood home.  She was queen of categorizing antiques, as well as clutter, and she protected me every step of the way. When Mary Ann heard the bargaining talk she would step in and tell the buyer they were lucky to find whatever it was. Consequently, it would be sold for asking price. Her sweet temperment and personality was what made her the successful professional person she was.Her warm, kind, spirit is also what gave her the many friends who love her and will miss her dearly. May you rest in peace, Mary Ann.
