I wrote a lengthy note on his memorial page, so I will make this brief. Alan was one-of-a-kind. A great guy, and bright beyond so many of us. Never heard him utter a mean word to anybody. On the other hand, he was always helping somebody, letting them stay with him back in the day, etc. God bless your memory Alan, and God bless your whole family!
