My class ring fits! That and the letter jacket are all that remain.

My motto is I can do anything at 47 I did at 24, but it will take me twice as long to recover and I'll gripe about it for twice as long, too. Aaah, sweet youth is truly wasted on the young.

It does take me all night to do, what I used to be able to do all night. My classring does still fit,but thats about it.

So my class ring...still fits...the wedding dress still fits...after 27 years...I wish that I had my drill team jacket...Gary you will have to bring your jacket back for the class reunion....

Was Cris Davis in our class? I know he didn't finish high-school, but can't remember if he was in our class or a grade behind.

Clint Swett

He was in our class...until the sophomore or junior year, I'll add him as a guest. Anyone know where he is these days?

02/15/09 08:47 PM #27

Tom Adams

Chris is still in Fairbury, I run into him every once in awhile. I'll tell him about this. Hey, by the way, great web site you set up!!!

Hi, It is interesting to see what everyone is up to these days. I thought there would be more postings these last couple of weeks, everyone must be to busy.

Since we are all so technologically proficient and communicating via the web, perhaps we should forgo the actual physical reunion and merely teleconference from remote sites? I come across better through tech because you can hit delete or turn down the volume.

Tim...any new info on the golf outing?

03/30/09 08:27 PM #33

Tim Hill

Golf is fun.

We will be playing a scramble, 3 or 4 folks to a team depending on how many want to play, 2 teams to a tee. We will try and mix up the teams so we can get good golfers with not-so-good golfers so everyone will have a good time.
We need everyone to fill out the golf survey so Tom Adams and I can get golf carts lined up. Walking at our age is not recommended, and it is hard to carry a cooler full of iced down beverages walking.
The more the merrier with this event, girls, boys, spouses, dates....whoever you want to bring and have fun.
More on the golf details as we know more and the time draws near.

Just want to let everyone know that Beets dad passed away tonight, he was 91. I think that the funeral is going to be on Wed around 2pm.

Good News...located everyone except for one classmate...and that is Mary Currigan. So if anyone know where she is at please let me know. Also I want to say Thank You to Jim Rempel and his mom for helping me with this task along with Diane Kujath. Next I am wanting to start on the MUSIC requests for the DJ for Saturday night. I know it's early but July will be here before we know it. I would like to give him a list of those SPECIAL songs before the reunion so he can have the music ready for us. Clint has requested BTO and AC/DC. Rod...would love for you to give us weekly or daily updates on what's going on in Fairbury...everyone please encourage those who have not joined the class web site to do so...Everyone have a great day!

1970's music.... Gotta have Boston, Smokin' was my favorite, and no smart remarks, please. Eric Clapton, a man for the times. KISS, The Allman & Doobie Brothers Bands. (I saw Gregg Allman in Phoenix not that long ago, or was it?) I am with you on BTO's Takin' Care of Business is a must. Foreigner was big for me. I have a 10 CD 1970's collection of music. I do not agree with all their picks, too much Linda Ronstadt type stuff, but nonetheless it is a nice trip down Memory Lane. Oh and let us not forget that special southern rock sound, Molly Hatchet, Skynard, ZZ Top, Charlie Daniels and .38 Special. What am I forgetting? One more, Raise a Little Hell by the little known band Trooper. Oh yeah, Never Been Any Reason, by Head East..... Somebody Stop Me!
Wait- I've not even touched on Al Greene, Earth Wind & Fire, Sly & The Family, The O'Jays, Marvin Gaye...

Gary...we can probably reach a little bit into the 80's...and throw AC DC on the list. Just as long as we keep the BeGees and all other disco on the shelf. I'll bring the Back in Black and Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap CDs.

05/08/09 12:52 PM #43

Gary Goebel

AMEN- DISCO SUX! But then again I do try to teach my children to be tolerant of others... even those that are clearly devoid of taste. ah ah ah stayin' alive, stayin' alive. Well you can tell by the way I use my walk... Aaaaarrrrrrrgh.

05/27/09 10:15 PM #44

Edith Bohlmeyer

Oh please guys. Disco wasn't that bad...yes, Saturday Night Fever was that bad...but disco had its good points. LOL. Angel Flight pants that the BeeGees made popular, some guys did wear them well.
I would like to hear some ZZ Top and Van Halen...If you have Skynrd (pre 1977)and 38 Special that would be cool too.
Clint and Tammy, the web site is great. You did a great job keeping in touch. You are awesome. A big THANK YOU!

06/07/09 01:34 PM #45

Clint Swett

I have Skynard and 38 Special CDs....but only cassettes of ZZ Top (need to update my collection) I'll bring them back. Just went to a REO, Styx, and 38 Special concert on Thursday night. Good music from good times...
