Remember the "T-Bar" helmets in pee wee football...Boy you were all that if you got a t-bar helmet! Playing Bull in the ring! Getting revenge on RC our senior year when we lost to them in the championship game in pee wee.

I came to the 'ville in the 2nd semester of 8th grade. I remember Crystal had an 8th grade grad. party. Mine and Kim's parents heard the rumor that there would be alcohol there; so our dad's took us together and got out of the car walked us back to the party. We were so nervous!

Remember Coach Page's drug films in history class. He would get so mad at us for laughing at the films. I remember when he gave us a lecture and he looked at the guys in the back of the class and said... you boys think it's so funny back there with your glassy eyes. The way he said it was so funny. As many have already said, he really did care.

How about that time Mario found that petrified rock, and tried to convince Mrs. Jacobsen it was a petrified schlong. You guys remember how embarrassed she was? Honestly, it did look like one, but seriously?

Coach Page (rest his soul) was the one person I knew truly cared about all of us and was the one coach that had my utmost respect!

OMG!! Ms Jacobsen....I had forgot all about her! She was so naive. Remember when Jason Smith would "gleek" in her class. She would get all upset and Jason would tell her he couldn't help it...lol She wrote me during the Gulf War surprisingly. Her letters were a warm welcome during that time and helped me get through that war and back home unscathed!

Reading all of the messages are too funny:
@ Rusty.....Candace Helms was her name, it's funny because we are friends on Facebook, she is living in Tyler.

Demetri Emory, I was so scared of her back in the day, lol.

Jared French would always pass gas in class & when the teacher asked what did he just do, he would say "I let a bullet."

Keeli Rice is an attorney & lives in Anna

Remember Steven Curry could never go to the pep rallies or say the pledge because his parents were atheists

High School English teacher Mrs. Roberts use to always yell at Rusty I believe, lol....she would get so mad & didnt mind going off at all...

We gave Mr. Holbrook the hardest time in music class, well I didnt but the guys did.

Favorite teacher was Mrs. Bridges...she dubbed as me "Ms. Boss"

@ Beau, I remember HODAT, there was a contest & people tried to figure out what it meant it seemed like we had to wait forever & finally it was revealed at a downtown pep rally....the cheerleaders screamed "Hold that Line' & then set off this puff of smoke.....the crowd went crazy......

Remember Buck???? The man that would come to all the games with his little AM/FM radio & when we had downtown pep rallies he would be sitting there waiting.

Ok & who was the coach(he was a big guy) that would always come to class with a Diet Dr. Pepper & a candy bar.....I remember him stepping out of class for a
minute or so & Rusty of course got out of his seat & went up to the desk & took a sip of the coke. When he returned to class he finished drinking the coke & we all were laughing under our breath......

For those that's been around since Kindergarten....here's a throwback for ya......remember in Kindergarten, teacher was Mrs. Hunt & the class put on a Happy Days play/musical...Mindy was Pinky Tuscadaro (msp???) & Dale Pickett was Fonzie & we all had to dress in 50's costume....

Oh yeh, my son is a freshman @ FHS & Mrs. Marty (now Mrs. Truemper) is still there & so is Mrs. Page & Mr. Holbrook.
Coach Leinart is still in the area, he keeps up with the sports especially if he know that we have kids playing in the school district, pretty neat.

I remember that rock! Definitely looked like it. Remember when Mario asked Coach Lancanster in Health what masturbation was. Was he kidding?

Mrs. Jacobsen. I remember climbing out of her window in class and hiding in her closet before class. She was a good teacher. I was a pain in the butt in her class but for some reason she liked me. I had to wear that astronaut suit when the astronaut came and talked to the school. I saw her about 8 years ago here in Rockwall. She tried to get a job here and used me as a reference.

I believe Coach Page was referring to me on that Renee. He used to tell me my junior year to stop drinking those "Dr. Peppers" and get my butt in shape. He was right on.

Cyn, Remeber Buckwheat would yell out the Go Purple, Go Gold first then the cheerleaders would. He would always try to give away warm dentyne gum out of his pockets. GROSS!

09/24/09 10:50 AM #262

Sam Day

Cynthia cracked me up with some of those memories...

Buckwheat I think we called him....He used to come and "referee" our pee wee practices...lol

To Cynthia-it was Coach Dyer you were talking about and we superglued one of his diet pepsi drinks one time to his desk...

Remember the two headed goat in Mrs. Jacobsen's class....

Shannon White (Caldwell)

Coach Dyer was the coach who ate powdered sugar donuts and diet cokes in World History class every day! He coached at McKinney for a while before coming to F'ville. My ex had him as a coach in Mckinney.

Oh...remember how they wouldn't let us ever wear shorts in school? Then it seems like the very next year after we graduated they allowed them.

Let's not forget Mrs. Crump and typing. She had some serious beehive hair!

09/24/09 10:53 AM #265

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Yes, we called Mrs. Crump "Queen B". She was so sweet. Coach Dyer also liked that pint of Blue Bell.

09/24/09 10:57 AM #266

Sam Day

Mrs. Crump was one of my favorite teachers too. I got more out of her office procedures, typing and accounting classes that I could apply to the real world than any other classes in high school!

09/24/09 11:01 AM #267

Shannon White (Caldwell)

Yep Ms. Crump's typing class. I still use a ton of what we learned in that class today. Now they call it keyboarding class.

And Sam and I were reminiscing about the one act plays. Jeff Judd did a couple of plays also with us. Glass Managerie was one. I don't remember the one that got us to UIL.

And Nicole and I went to UIL for writing...I remember the next level of UIL participation for writing was the same Saturday as Sr. Prom....and Prom was WAY more important than some stupid UIL writing contest. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the next round.

Ok, I've got another one....remember in Mrs. Weston's Home Ec class, we had to make chocolate pudding & I remember Teresa Stoker was one of the cooks & Mrs. Weston had stressed that you had to mix a little egg mixture & whip it good before adding it to the hot chocolate mixture, well Teresa didnt follow directions & when she poured the egg in the mixture it scrambled the egg! GROSS & whoever was in that group had to sit at the table had to eat it & at the same time Mrs. Weston graded it. LOL!

Mrs. Roberts and I definitely had a personality conflict to say the least. She was the only teacher I did not have respect for. I learned a lot from her now being teacher. In teaching, you learn as much from the good ones as the bad ones. She was a bad teacher, but I definitely believe I was a bad student and don't condone myself being disrespectful or disruptive.

I don't remember backwashing Coach Dyer's Diet Coke. Man, I was a turd wasn't I. I am now getting paid back for all of that. However I do remember backwashing Shannon's coke after the bus broke down in Ft. Worth on a field trip. We rode home in the back of Dr.Dickson's station wagon and she fell asleep. She got me back somehow with my car.

I laughed at loud on the "I let a bullet thing". Good call Cynthia.

Remember in Spanish when Mrs. Marty tried to quit smoking. She was moody and mad all the time. I loved and respect her too. Hard worker.

Tina Walls (Neal)

Beau - Don't be a hater because I had good taste in music! Maybe I don't remember all of these things because I was always the "goodie two shoes" who stayed home and decided it was smart to get engaged to the biggest jerk of all times my senior year!! The only good thing that came out of that was getting to meet Vanilla Ice (just kidding) and my having my daughter. (Who, by the way, thinks it is stupid that I make her come to Dell's house on Friday night)

Speaking of Teresa- how about the infamous Spring Show at the elementary school our junior or senior year? This was the most hilarious thing I think I had ever seen. Let's see, it was Paula, Stacy, Donya, and Teresa (could be wrong on the names) performing Push It, by Salt N Pepa. Rodney Redwine made an appearance as well. There was so much hip thrusting, they actually pulled the curtain before it was over. I was like dang, those girls went all out!

09/24/09 11:12 AM #272

Cynthia Craddock (Clark)

@Shannon, I remember the whole shorts thing. I remember me & Paula were the first to wear shorts to high school, they were really nice knee length black dress shorts & we had practically made it through the day when a teacher spotted us & told the principal....Mr. Hemby called us to the office & he did the whole measuring thing and ended up letting us off the hook, but we couldnt wear them again....lol! I was so scared because I never got in trouble.

09/24/09 11:13 AM #273

Sam Day

Yeah, good call Cyn...The bullet thing made me spit coffee all over my computer!

Mrs. Robets was definately one of the teachers that I could not stand either there Rusty!

09/24/09 11:14 AM #274

Beau Bridges

I heard that Buckwheat was sent away to a mental institution after an incident at the funeral home with a dead body. Awkward!!!!
You guys are crackin me up with all these little details that I had forgotten but I remember them all now.
And who remembers Jimmy? His mom ran the dollar store.
Do you ever think about how much gas and mileage you wasted cruising around town on Saturday nights back when it was 89 cents a gallon? I was a Pro at rolling the car out of the driveway and down the street before turning it on.

09/24/09 11:18 AM #275

Cynthia Craddock (Clark)

@Ross, didnt want anybody to bring that up.....that wasnt Teresa. That was me, Donya, Paula & Stacey. We all had on our leotards & Salt n Pepa jackets....lol

I was Spinderella and played the keyboard, while the other girls did the lip syncing & hip movement which I didnt know about...lol
It got really rated R when Stacey's leotard split in the middle....mannnn curtains went to flying trying to shut'em down...but they bust through the curtains & kept dancing anyway...lol!

I got in the biggest trouble by my mom & all I did was play the freakin music or shall I say pretended to play.

Anyway I had to apologize to Mrs. Blackard or I was going to get the beatin' of my life by my mom, lol!

It was a very long time before there was ever a talent show back on campus.

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Rusty, the bus didn't break down. Mr. Hemby rearended a car. I took a picture of it. I found it and forwarded it to Shannon.

Tina, I totally get the great thing that came out of something so stupid! If it weren't for Gunnar's 1st homecoming on the 2nd, I would be making him come also.

09/24/09 11:21 AM #277

Shannon White (Caldwell)

--Rusty...at least I know we finally swapped spit. Of course I don't remember any of that. We took a field trip to Ft. Worth???? And how did I get you back? What was the Owl Award you mentioned earlier.

Mrs. Roberts sucked! She was so mean and nasty. She likes boys better than girls, although I seem to remember she liked Nicole. I remember Ms. Jacobsen. Poor woman. OH...8th grade we all got busted for cheating on a science test. Is that the one Beau had the answers to?

I remember being in PE with Coach Lancaster sophomore year when he told us the space shuttle exploded. We all thought he was kidding.
