Jimmy is still around & yes his mom ran Bill's Dollar Store for a long time.......remember none of us wanted to ever get caught going into the Bill's Dollar.....kids were always teased & talked bad about for going into that "cheap store"....lol
I remember when my mom would go, I would look around before making a mad dash inside the store....that was not the store to be caught in back in the day...lol!

I liked Mrs. Jacobsen, she would always tell me that I had a nice voice & thought I should be a news anchor.....remember when she took a group of students to Paris France, ooh I wanted to go so bad, but my mom wouldnt let me......can't remember who went????

@ the Tatum goers, remember Mrs. Glass, Mrs Kent, Mr Hawthorne (principal), Mrs. Jouette (she is 85 & still visits F'ville to get her hair fixed & pick up her mail)

remember the good hot rolls & honey @ tatum

remember during testing time we would get peanuts & raisins, lol...

remember we use to love to volunteer to wash the dishes at Tatum.....what were we thinking.......lol

Shannon. I believe you toilet papered and shoe polished my car. It was a mess. Dr. Dickson had to drop us baseball guys off in Frisco for a game. Someone I guess ratted me out about the coke to you, you sought your revenge with a vengeance.

Mr. Morrison had the owl award. You probably don't remember it because Nicole was always getting it. I think I got it late in the year out of pity. He gave it to someone who wrote a really good paper.

This recalling of the old days is awesome. I love the memories, good or bad, and I love and appreciate the relationships we had as classmates. I know, I am getting a little sentimental.

To all in senior choir "Rock On".

Starting off every pep rally by walking out to Seek and Destroy. Ross coming up to me in the hall each day and saying "huge!" referring to some girls boobs that looked particularly nice that day so I could go check em out. Puberty was a bitch!

I'm sad I will be missing the reunion, but we will be in Disney. Our 17 year will be staying home by herself for the first time. After reading these post and remembering what we did, I'm rethinking it!

Renee- I remember how our parents were freaking out about the 8th grade graduation party. Do you remember when we got home my mom put me up aganinst a wall and said, "I know you've been drinking because you have gum in your mouth!" I was too embarrassed to tell her I was hoping Robert Norman would kiss me! haha!!

I remember my first day in Farmersville, I was wore something that I guess went over better in Carrollton because Jennifer Martin was the first person to speak to me, and I was so excited thinking I was going to make a new friend! She informed me that in 'ville we don't wear crap like that. "We wear our concert t-shirts,jeans and dangly earrings." I wasn't that excited someone was talking tome after that, and I was scared to death. Mindy made me switch from PE to athletics because no one did PE there. I had to do BB, which I had never done. I kept having to run laps for double dribble, and I couldn't ever figure out what double dribble was!!!!

By the way, Mrs. Jacobson is in McKInney ISD as a HS science teacher and was voted one of the best teachers, which really scares the crap out of me!

Anyone know what happened to Mrs. Blackard?

Rusty, can you imagine what would happen if you gave any of your students licks today? You would probably get arrested for assult!

Coach Dyer still lives in McKinney, he owns a bail bondsman place and is still huge. I'm friends with one of his daughters. I've never told her what an ass he was. Or a bad teacher...."Do you want to do my work, or your work?"

I did love the crispitos. I also remember Coach Page passing out those huge horse pills to all the football players at lunch. I'm still not sure what that was! I can't imagine that going over well these days either since you get suspended for having an Advil at school.

I also remeber Mindy making Tye(can't remember his last name) do crap for her in Ms. Weston's class all the time. She was so mean to him and he obeyed her like a little puppy!
I do remember Ms. Crumps big hair and accounting class with Sam. You made me laugh everyday! Mrs. Crump called my parents when Rhonda and I snuck out and went to Richard Chapman's party across the street from her. Our dads came to get us. I've never forgiven her for that!

Wow, I had forgotten so many things and it is fun to read what you guys remember!

Ooh! Do you ladies remember "slave week" for the football players? What the hell??? Slave week? I know you guys were football gods, but come on!!

beau---LOL regarding Ross and "huge"
Rusty--me? seek revenge? that doesn't sound like me at all!

Who was the old guy that drove around in the car all the time? He smelled, the car smelled and you hated getting behind him going around the square.

Renee--thanks for introducing me to Rum & Coke.
Dell--thanks for letting me pee at your house when the Rum & Coke finally hit. And letting me eat the pizza pockets after I peed. And for driving your Iroc.

I think it was freshman year, the Farmerette officers did a "come as you are party" and we had to do high kicks around the square with all the football guys watching.

Kim, what hs is Mrs. Jacobsen teaching? I would like to drop her an email.

Heather moved from city to small town before and I hear her talk about how hard it was to fit in. I can definitely sympathize with you Kim. For the record, I remember you catching my eye on the first day of school.

Okay, I must have destroyed a few more brain cells than most of you in high school or you have a box full of memorabilia you are referring back to....Thanks for helping my brain remember.

A few thoughts on the subject:
Mrs. Jacobsen was such a nice person...I recall her saying she didn't have TV in her house which we thought was a bit crazy at the time with MTV and all. Also, Something about skinny dipping? Or am I just making that up?

Mrs. Roberts is the only class I have ever failed. I remember there were several of us who were going to be ineligible for football because of her class and had to get our parents involved to go through the grades. I ended with a 76 or something (she was mean). Do you remember her wearing the 50's day costume the wrong day and we all gave her a hard time.

Don't forget the spit wad contest we would have on the periodic Table chart in Mrs. Tombs(ms?) class. If I recall she had a distinct smell to her as well. We would also pass tests around the room for everyone to cheat off.

Mrs. Crump...Yes she was great. My claim to fame, I did go to UIL in Typing...Who was with me? I still type hard on my keyboard. Who'd a thought all of our jobs would involve typing most of the time?

Mr. Weston....Such a great guy...Remember how proud you were to get an FFA jacket!! Who'd a thunk raising a hog would be such a joyful experience.

By the way, the girls were always favored over the guys in the classes...I think that is because after reading these, we were pretty much glorified "thugs". We would be thrown out of the school today.

Kim, it was Tye Brown, Rebel's little brother.

Shannon, no prob with the rum & coke. I haven't had one since college. I threw a big 32oz one all over Kyle Patterson. The smell of one since then makes me sick to my stomache. The old man (maybe Hinton?) use to drive the same route at the same time everyday. Our sophmore year in lunch we could always count on him turning around on 78 at the cemetery st (it was under construction then).

Hey Rusty-How about the times on Fridays before the football games? We would all go to Pryor's to eat, and then it was mandatory nap time in the weight room before the game. It would get quiet for a while until someone let one rip, or made a fake one with their mouth. I remember you, Kyle, and a few others gettting really irritated. GUYS GET SERIOUS, QUIT GOOFING AROUND...man those were good times.

09/24/09 12:14 PM #288

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Kyle - You guys were proud to be thugs! My first day in the 'ville in Mrs. Jacobsen's science class all the girls wanted to know who I though was fine. The 'ville was soooooo diferent from where I had previously gone to school. I didn't know what Kaepa's were. I had a major shock!

I also didn't know what rap music was.

Renee...Kyle Patterson works here at TI with me. OMG...he's changed alot. When I talked to him he would barely look me in the eye!

Shannon White (Caldwell)

OH....when the dust settles after the reunion, we'll plan a Happy Hour so the people who missed the reunion can still have a chance to get together and catch up!

09/24/09 12:20 PM #292

Kyle Chapman

Any Texas A&M fans out there want a friendly wager on Arkansas the weekend of our reunion? Too bad the game isn't earlier would have like to have gone to new Stadium...

09/24/09 12:25 PM #293

Kyle Chapman

I never thought Rap music would make it....Maybe because I thought Van Halen ruled the world! I remember not letting Tonya Gracy play Raspberry Beret around me for fear others would think I liked it...Which I secretly did.

By the way, you young ladies who moved to the 'ville late in your education had an advantage over the Farmersville grown ladies. All the boys wanted to date the "new" girls.

09/24/09 12:26 PM #294

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Shannon, sounds great! All though it has been a very long time since I have any alcohol. One may make me pretty funny. I may start loving everyone, everyone will be my bestfriend:)

09/24/09 12:27 PM #295

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Kyle, funny, only two boys in our class ever asked me out.

09/24/09 12:32 PM #296

Shannon White (Caldwell)

*snort* I moved to the Ville in 7th grade which did NOT improve my date-ability.

I seemed to always be the crush-er and not the crush-ee.

And darn Scott Cummings for always hooking my purse straps around the lunch tables!!!!

09/24/09 12:37 PM #297

Kyle Chapman

I said we all wanted to date you, but most of us were scared to death of actually asking. Plus girls were always looking for the older guys to date. We thought our chances were better with the younger classes.

09/24/09 12:39 PM #298

Beau Bridges

Ditto on that Kyle. I considered most of the girls out of my league back then.

09/24/09 12:55 PM #299

Sam Day

Jordache jeans and Kaeppa's in junior high....lol

Remember we all had the combs in our back pockets with our favorite college emblems on them...lol

What about Billy O gettin busted at the prom party at that hotel in McKinney...we dedicated 18 and life by Skid Row to him...lol

09/24/09 12:56 PM #300

Sam Day

Spot on Kyle...Spot on!

09/24/09 12:58 PM #301

Renee Latimer (Flint)

Tina - remember when we would take Deddy's Toyota Supra out to that long bridge near Blue Ridge put on Danger Zone and see how fast we could go. Neither one of us even had a DL yet. There's one for ya, not being such the good girl all the time.

09/24/09 01:06 PM #302

Shannon White (Caldwell)

Were Kaeppa's the one with the removable emblem on the side?

I definitely remember Jordache, K-Swiss (which you all know they still make. I almost bought a pair just to say I finally owned a pair)....and junior year, Guess jeans were big, big. Fold the leg around and then roll up a couple of times. Oh yeah! Now I can't get my J-Lo butt in a pair to save my life!

You should see the prom photos...most of the senior girls went with younger guys. Most of the guys went with younger girls. MY date dumped me 3 weeks before, and God Bless him, Jeff Judd dumped Joanna (???) to take me to the prom.
