This might open a too interesting discussion, but as I've been living in rather rich ski resort areas (as a not rich bartender/carpenter/ski area worker) for the last 20 years when I wasn't abroad, I don't have a real pulse on the area that I grew up in. So what is the political climate there with my old classmates? Is it a mostly Democratic or a mostly Republican area? We were talking about it at lunch the other day and I had to confess that I did not know. We out here of course find it pretty interesting, wondering for example what kind of crowd McCain would draw in the Boulder area (where the universities are and he did not go) to the crowd he draws in Colorado Springs (where the military base and right wing Christians are). And the same for Obama, how would he do in KC vs Columbia?? Let's keep it polite, ideas anyone?

Pamela Geiler (Meng) Jesse....glad to see you hopped on....political views, I go with Johnny Dare, 98.9 Rock, this morning. Just agree with whoever you are with.....it saves the headaches, heated discussions, etc. Seriously, from what I remember....Buchanan County used to be primarily Democratic; however, I moved to Kansas and Kansas is primarily Republican.

Jesse - I don't ever get involved in a political discussion...have never liked politics and as horrible as it may sound, I rarely pay much attention to the politians.
