07/08/08 08:56 AM #69

Dan Ervin

Wow - that one threw me off.

That's Jeff Spicoli in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

07/08/08 03:04 PM #70

Carolyn Crumley (Kleen)

Hey Carolyn. OK, I know I'm getting into the game late, but I believe it's Risky Business.

Now if your start asking some 80's Brit-Pop New Wave questions I'll have a chance to catch-up (or maybe not, with Dan here:)

07/09/08 06:01 PM #73

Carolyn Crumley (Kleen)

According to Schoolhouse Rock, what exactly IS the function of conjunction junction?

07/09/08 09:48 PM #74

Jeffrey Allers

Sehr gut, danke! Naja, Deutsche Grammatik ist eine groesse Herausfoerderung, aber "Schoolhouse Rock" hat mir zumindestens eine gute Englische Grammatik-Fundament gegeben, hooking up words and phrases...and (something)

Dan Ervin

Movie quotes again...what movie and which character uttered the following bon mot...

"I carried a watermelon."

07/14/08 02:10 PM #79

Dan Ervin

That was Jennifer Grey as "Baby" in Dirty Dancing.

07/14/08 04:10 PM #80

Jeffrey Allers

Dan IS the 80's man. Game over, man! (name the movie that used that quote, Dan).

Of course, everyone knows the more famous quote from that movie, "No one puts baby in a corner."

I was too slow, but an interesting tidbit on an earlier question: my wife's middle school's telephone number in North Carolina was actually 867-5309. They had to change it after the song became a hit.

Dan Ervin

Jeff
that's awesome. btw - I have no idea where the quote came from that you are referring to...

HEY - I'll see you on 8/10 big boy.

07/15/08 12:11 PM #82

Michael Hasty

The quote is from "Aliens", I think.

And I can't BELIEVE that I missed a Jeff Spicoli quote. I'd hang my head in shame, if I had any. (Shame, that is. I've got a head. I currently use it to kill hair follicles.)

07/16/08 12:16 PM #83

07/17/08 04:06 PM #87

I don't want to go crazy here, so I made an appointment with Dr. Everything'll be Alright, and found out Bob Marley was a long time client of his back in the day.
