Tommy Schwartz

Ok Garry, here is one for you.  It was from two years ago at David Williams' Party.  He has this every year and at the end it turn into a jam.  This is from early in the day.  A Gary Stewart song that he opened every show we did with him for the last 10 years he was alive.

OK. I mentioned a jam at the end.  This is about 6 hours who knows how many beers later.  I place this one because of the personnel.  Our own Allan Colby on the far left.  Billy Smith and Larry Chapman (classes of 71 and 72) Joe Falco (our bands drummer from 71 or 72 I think)  and me on the far right.  Bass player Dave didn't go to school here.

And last.  Here are the last three songs that Gary Stewart ever sang in public and probably the last 3 he ever sang as far as I know.  I took him to Pineapple Joe's for a couple beers a week before he died and they talked us into getting up and doing a couple.  A week later he was gone

I would like to take a moment and thank Richard Parker, Cal and Tommie McDermid, Mitch Hilburn, and any others involved in the upcoming Class of 1970 reunion, Oct. 17, for booking our band, Relapse Band, to be the musical provider for their event! And thanks to Tommy Schwartz, too!

We are looking forward to playing some great rock and roll for our Dan McCarty class mates!

Alan,

Thanks for the thanks.  I have made you a guest on the Class of 70 website so please do a posting on that site and maybe a couple of your videos - we are excited to have you guys playing.  Tommy and Mitch recomended you stongly.  Now the monkey is on your back to live up to their praise :-)

And to all our Class of 69 friends, we would love to have you at our reunion.

Welcome to the Great Class of 1970’s 45th Class Reunion registration page. Our reunion will be held on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17. It will consist of two separate events.

  • Friday Night, October 16, 6:00, we will host a Dutch Treat Cocktail Party at the Harbor Cove Restaurant in Harbor Town Marina, 1936 Harbortown Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34946, on the south side of A-1-A at the bottom of the hill and just across the railroad track as you head to North Beach. Dutch treat dinners and appetizers will also be available. There is no admission to this event—you pay for only what you consume.

  • Saturday Night, October 17, 6:00, we will host our Saturday Night Dinner & Dance Extravaganza. This will be held at the newly renovated River Walk Center on the river right next to the Ft. Pierce Yacht Club (where we held our 40th Reunion). The address is 600 North Indian River Drive, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. This will be quite a shindig, offering a full sit-down dinner with carving stations offering top round roast beef and oven-roasted turkey prepared by our Jim Huck. Mitch Hilburn’s band, Out on Bail, will provide the musical backdrop for the evening. This event is $40 a person.

Thanks, Richard.

Might be a little confusion, though. Out On Bail is not providing the music Saturday, Oct. 17, Relapse Band will have the honor.

Hope there is no confusion.

Allan

Richard, Thanks for the correction.

We are looking forward to providing some excellent music for those in attendence.

There have been a change or two for the band and our set list, but we think it will be even better than before!

Lois Walters (Gordy)

Allan Colby you know for certain that Linda and I sure hate to miss a good party!  From the sounds of it, the DMHS Class of '70 is doing their best to one up the DMHS Class of '69 with your band headlining the Saturday night event.  Linda and I could offer our services as back-up singers if needed......LOL!  I have a tentative commitment, but hope that it can be resolved so that I can attend the Saturday night festivities.  Would love to "rock and roll" to the sounds of RELAPSE!  I have heard nothing but fabulous reviews.
