Been with Cathy 12+ years and live in Michigan on Horseshoe Lake near Ann Arbor/Detroit in a place we call Camp Bartos-Offerle. Retired after 32 yrs at Ford engineering steering systems. Cathy is a nurse at University of Michigan peds ICU moving to Survival Flight and is also a nurse educator for Nurse Blake. My dad still lives in the same house and has the same phone number. Family, biking, water sports, motorsports, home projects, beer brewing, and organizing parades and other social events(family Dodgeball is a favorite) keep us busy. I do a Zoom HIT type workout Sat 8am with a few classmates-Come join us!

Michael “Mike” Lowery, 58, of Kendallville, Indiana, passed away on December 2, 2024. Mike was born on September 23, 1966, to George and Carol Lowery. Throughout his life, he was known for his big heart, his sense of humor, and his unshakeable authenticity. He was a man who lived fully and loved deeply, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and unwavering devotion to his family.

Mike is survived by his parents, George and Carol Lowery; his daughters, Rose Balyeat (Jon) and Eve Lowery (Nick); his stepdaughter Tiffany Nicole and their mother, Beverly; his grandchildren, Kyle and Ella Balyeat; his siblings, Linda Hatfield (Chris), George Lowery (Susan), Lisa Nelson (Andrew), and Deanna Zamiska (Mark); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored him.

A man of big personality and bigger love, Mike made an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His laughter was contagious, and his ability to make people feel welcome and cherished was unmatched. Mike's love for his family was evident in everything he did—whether it was offering a helping hand or sharing a lighthearted moment to brighten someone's day. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched, a reminder of the power of loving big and living life authentically.

RICHARD B. KOCH, 55, of San Clemente, Calif., passed away peacefully Friday, June 17, 2022, after a long battle with cancer. He was a son of Benjamin and Josephine Koch of Fort Wayne, Ind., who survive. Rick was born in Fort Wayne, Ind. on Dec. 15, 1966. He graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in 1985 and Ball State University in 1989. Rick enjoyed a successful career working in the wine and spirits industry for more than 30 years. Most recently, he was the National Accounts Director for Mo‰t Hennessy Louis Vuitton. His work allowed him to travel the world and experience many adventures while building friendships along the way. His kindness and humor engaged all who worked with him and developed strong relationships with his coworkers and clients. Moet Hennessy has established a scholarship in his name. Rick cherished his large family. He is survived by his parents; sisters, Lynne Koch, Joan (James) Norton, Christine (David) Palmieri, Teresa (Ed - deceased) Foss, Karen Koch, Jennifer (Ken) Williams, Michele (James) Spolyar; brother, Peter (Andrea) Koch. He is the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews each of whom he loved individually and who miss him deeply.

KRISTINA KAY KINNIRY - DATTA, 54, of Huntington, Ind., passed away Sunday, Aug., 22, 2021, at her home. Born in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Kinniry and Rita (nee Egts) Kinniry, she survives in Fort Wayne. Kristina graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School, Class of 1985, and served as captain of her pom pom squad. She later graduated from the University of Saint Francis with her Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Kristina loved children and was a teacher for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her joyful spirit, and the love and support she demonstrated to her children. Kristina is survived by her five children, Ryan Datta, Rachael (Kody) Hope, Brianna (fiance Zach Barrow) Datta, Alex Datta, and Patrick Datta; siblings, David (Holly) Kinniry, Brian (Mary) Kinniry, Kirk (Lisa) Kinniry, Marla (Dennis) Lessen, Kara Kinniry, and Debra (Carl) Wegmet; 22 nieces and nephews, one grand nephew, and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pradeep Datta.

NEIL PATRICK HERALD, 56, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, in Chicago, Ill., where he made his home for the last 34 years. Neil graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in the Class of 1985. He was a proud member of the 1983 State Football Championship team. He graduated from John Carroll University in 1989. For the past five years, Neil served as Chief Executive Officer for the Prestwick Group and was a business partner with his brother, Michael. Prior to joining the Prestwick Group, he served for over 30 years as a Structured Settlement Broker / Consultant with Alliant / Mesirow. Neil was a loyal son, a true friend and anchor to his siblings. Neil loved spending time with his friends and family, especially with his beloved nieces and nephews. He loved all things Chicago, especially the 'regulars' at Vaughan's Irish Pub. He leaves behind a true legacy of generosity like no other. Neil is survived by his mother, Kathleen Herald; and siblings, Michael (Michele) Herald, Bridget (Brock) Merck, Kara (Chuck) Pastor, Anne (Mick) Steele, and Scott (Holly) Herald. He was a loving uncle to Tom, Kathryn, Caroline, Howie, Molly, Michael, Nora, Patrick, Maria, Maggie, Teddy, Mary Rose, Grace, Francesca, and Philomena. Paul V. Goodwin of Sarasota, FL passed away February 27, 2024. Paul was the son of the late Richard and Marjorie Goodwin. He was raised in Fort Wayne, IN and later relocated to Sarasota. Paul always had an interest in cars and inevitably worked in that field; most recently as a Service Writer and Office Manager at Brian's Auto Repair. He was a passionate fan of football, especially the New England Patriots. He enjoyed cooking and grilling, not only for himself but also for his friends and neighbors. Paul's quick wit and sarcastic sense of humor will be missed. Paul is survived by his sister, Patrice Knuth (Brian); and his nieces Jolene Knuth (Tyffany), Marci Massie (Keith); and 3 great nephews.
