Dear Classmates and Friends,  we once again lose a beloved classmate and friend today. I am inserting a note from Jackie Kirby Stewart’s son, Nick.

“ 8:47am this morning my mom went home with the lord. She was the absolute strongest woman I have ever known. She has battled this terrible disease for so many years and now she can finally rest.

There is so much I could say about my mom. She was the most selfless person, always worrying about everyone else over herself. As long as her family was okay, she was okay.

I don’t have the words to explain how thankful I am to have been blessed to have been raised by such an amazing woman. She taught me the right way to treat people. She taught me the value of honesty and loyalty. She loved me unconditionally, regardless of my mistakes I’ve made throughout the years. She’s been there for me through my darkest hours. I never could have asked for anything more out of my mother. I love you mom.”
