Okay .. we need to get the message board going - I'll follow Mary Lou's comment (from 5 months ago!? omg...c'mon folks!) with this suggestion.... (BTW, great idea putting this venue up, Mary Lou!)

I would like to know about/hear from the officers on the home page... Debbie... George... Paula!!!

Where's David Irving? John Jessee? Allan Daniels? Ken Alexander? David Braden?

I've gotta put some time in on my profile, but, I'd love to see more photos from everyone.. on profiles, in the history and Old Pictures sections!

I'm putting a challenge out there for all.. let's find everyone from the Class and encourage participation!

Best wishes to all!

Hi Eric and all others. I thank you for inviting my to join this site. Even though I finished my senior year in Colorado, I still feel that Franklin High School was my home.

I will try to contact Kathy Chasteen and Pam Rigsby. I saw them about a year ago.

Debbie Smith has now joined the site and will be helping to develope this website. I am so glad someone contacted her and told her about this. So lets keep getting the word out. I am working on Danny Hause (remember his wild laugh?) and also Joyce Reagan. I know their emails. Who else do you know?

I have just upload senior pictures from my past collection. I can't believe I still had as many as I did. I would like to upload more pictures so if you have yours or anyone else's please scan and send them to me.

Thanks to Eric Lundberg for getting this forum started.

Seems like we should be talking about something really important. How about this economy? Has anyone lost their jobs out there? What was the interest rates when you bought your first house? It was 17% for us at that time but we were able to assume a VA loan for 12% and we thought that was great.

I'm with Eric, this is great...come on people.

Thanks again to Mary Lou and a extra special thanks goes out to our revered class leader, Debbie Smith, for her tireless search to find a picture of FiFi LaFoo that I had never seen before IN MY LIFE, now posted online. Thank God I was 14 and skinny!

NOW I KNOW WHAT PARIS HILTON FEELS LIKE...I'm like, totally going to search the archives now, look out Debbie!

Hey Eric-

I called Paula Murray's Mom a couple weeks ago to have her pass on the info about this site. I think Dave Braden lives in Hunter.

For everyone-

Does anyone have pictures from the Soph float we built at my parents house? Where is Brent Soule?

Eric Lundberg

Hey Paris .. er, Sharon, thanks for the call to Paula's mom - I hope Paula will find us! And, hope you found those archived treasures you mentioned!

I see Ken Alexander and Danny Hause have arrived and created profiles - I've been outta touch with everyone, so I am happy to see current photos and glad to know we're doing okay! As well, I'm sad to see those that have passed on also. :(

I still gotta work on my profile...

Still hoping to see the arrivals of George Kennerly, Butch Mollohan, Allan Daniels, Dave Irving.. but I haven't a clue where anyone is.

Hey Guys I don't know how many of you will remember me because I didn't start coming to FHS till the beginning of our sophomore year. I hung around with Felicia Robbins and Patty Hubbard. This is a great website and hats off to whom ever started it. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Even though I have stayed in this area, as many of us have, I really don't see many Class of 72 classmates. Dave Irving lives with Cheri (Manning) Aregood in Franklin.

Sharon Nickell and Rick Hawkins are at the Mane Event Hair Salon in Middletown - as they have been for years and years.

I was making a sales call in Middletown recently and when I came out thru the lobby, a man said "Sue Philpot". I had no idea who it was until he told me he was John Jesse. I guess I thought he'd keep his red hair forever. I'm sure the only way he knew who I was was because of the visitor's book that I had signed right before he did.John is still working for Worthington Steel.

I'm glad to be catching up with everyone. It's been fun reading everyone's profiles.

Hi Everyone!

Great to see pictures and hear stories of where everyone is and what they are doing these days. Thanks, Jim Dishman for sending me the information on the site. I will try to get some pictures to post. Time has not been kind to me so I don't want any rude comments. lol

Just wanted to update everyone who made donations or said prayers for us during the Cystic Fibrosis walk. We as a team will have collected almost $6,000. My personal goal was $1,000, but thanks to everyone I work with and all in our class I exceeded that goal to $2,870. This will be an annual event and next year we will be adding special events as discounts at local restaurants and a golf outing. If any of you like to golf, please let me know and I will keep you on my list.

thanks again to all, CLASS of 72 ROCKS

Hey Dishman - Haven't got your answer yet about a live chat for this site, but I will try to do that before the end of this week. Don't give up on me!

Brent Soale lives outside of Camden, OH and has for years. He works in Germantown.

DishMan - I grew up with Amy Dunn in Harpland. I drive by her "old" house all the time. I can still remember her sweet little face. I spent many an afternoon at her house after school, slumber parties, fun at school. Don't remember all of the details but she moved away too soon. Debbie Smith

I just read this post by Jeff Kirby and thought this was worth sharing.

FRANKLIN HIGH, ALL CLASS REUNION JULY 25

I go to reunions, but not because I believe I'm anyone special who's accomplished anything out of the ordinary -- though I can look at my family and feel especially proud. I go to reunions, but not because I was a standout student or athlete who wants to relive some high school glory -- though I do have some life- long friends who mean the world to me. I go to reunions, but not because I live in the past.

I go because I love looking into the eyes of people who remind me of time when I had absolutely nothing to worry about. I go because there was a time and place we were all in the same moment, walking the halls and passing notes in class, day after day, for years. That's a connection that lasts forever.

And I go because I love seeing where life has taken everyone -- to different parts of the country, to a million different professions -- as husbands, wives, mothers and fathers. Responsible. So different from the days from long ago.

Debbie - When I think of Amy Dunn, I think of Emily Libecap - weren't they good friends? What about Donnie Millar, I think it's ar and not er. I met him several ago at a party and said he looked familiar and he said he should because we went to school together. I think I remember him from grade school, do you remember him in high school? Nice guy.

Kathy Donisi mentioned on FB that Tony and family were in visiting. I asked her to tell Tony to visit this website and complete his profile. She did tell him, so we'll see how much clout she has!!

Where did the summer go? I haven't been on here for a long while and glad to see it is still being visited. Once again my hats off to the creators and caretakers of this wonderful trip down memory lane. I would like to thank Jim Dishman for sharing Jeff Kirby's poignant and profound thoughts on why we go to reunions. I have certainly had my fair share of post reunion anxiety. I will have to start dieting now to prepare for the 40th. I am retiring 1/4/10 after 30 plus with the Industrial Commission of Ohio. I am worn out and need to recharge and hopefully reinvent while I am at it. Peace to all...

Hello Everyone! I just wanted to mention we should probably put in place a fund to start saving money to send flowers to visitations.   I have been sending flowers to our classmates visitations on behalf of all of us for years. I'm not complaining, but from here on out I just need a little assistance with the costs. I just recently sent a wreath to Mike West's visitation on behalf of our class. If you would like to donate say $15 - we could get this started. I will see what is the most sensible way to start an account that could easily be turned over when you send flowers to my visitation. That sounds morbid doesn't it but you have to plan for the future. Send me a check or money order or however you want to: Debbie Smith, 4427 Stratford Drive, Middletown, OH 45042. I promise I won't buy candy or cigarettes for myself, but will honestly handle the situation. If you have any other ideas, let me know. I'm open to whatever works best for the group. Hope everyone is well and happy! Thank you. Debbie
