He told me he was from Holton, and I remembered you lived there so I asked him if he knew you, and said your husband was his cousin. Jumping in the car now with the kids as we speak, be in Wichita in about 2.5 hrs. See you all at Heroes.

07/06/08 11:12 PM #92     Todd Chapple Great seeing all at Heroes last night. Looking forward to the reunion. It was fun catching up w/everyone. FYI- I spoke with Joel today, and he seems to be doing better. He will be in the hospital in Tulsa for a few more days. Keep him in your prayers. I'll let him fill you all in on what happened, etc. He had a boating accident on the 4th.

07/08/08 09:35 PM #94     Todd Chapple HEY GOLFERS!! Heads up, I need a final head count here shortly, in order to secure the tee times, so let me know ASAP if you are in. It's not too late, just let me know by Friday (July 18). Here's what I have so far, let me know if I've missed someone (I apologize if I have!): Tentative 4somes: 1- Angela, Paul, Darby, Kurt 2- Mandy, Stacie, Ben, Justin (the spousal 4some) 3- Michelle, Belinda, Pat, Todd There were some "maybe's" in prior posts, but want to double check. And, per Paul's suggestion, we will rotate "Cart Partners" every 3 holes so classmates/spouses can conversate/catch up. We will do a 9 hole scramble, and I will have rules/format printed up for everyone on the day. I may even go out and seek some sort of "prizes" for the winning team, even though this is non-competetive.

Not sure that one will work at this time.... :) BTW, was any decision/thoughts made about a Friday night meet up at the old Blue Getex/The Getaway? I will be in Wichita for business mtgs. Th and Fr, and may play golf Friday afternoon in Hutchinson. Would hurry back if any of you are planning on a cold one at the Getaway. And how late is Edgarburgers open??

07/15/08 02:38 PM #106     Angela Schomacker (Williams) WOW! It took me 45 minutes to catch up reading all that's going on! I wish we were closer, I would have loved to have seen you Ronda! Mike said he would play golf and we can tolerate playing together since the spouce group is full. We won't get home until late Friday night - how late will the fun at the Getaway last? Does anyone remember cutting through the pasture south of town during track and hiding in the Getaway so we didn't have to run all the way around on the highway? At least til McNerlin figured it out and sat at the corner. Speaking of teacher - Dad is substituting at GP and still coaches track. If you want him invited let me know. Can't wait to see everyone!

Per an email from Mies, Edgarburgers is open until 8:00, so those of us craving the Edgarburger could grab one before heading to the Getaway. BTW, I will have tee times posted here Saturday sometime. Right now we have 3 tee times. Last call for anyone else. Again, we are only playing 9 holes. Anyone remember having to do burpees? The squat-thrust with the push-up? I was reading Men's Health magazine today, and there was an illustration of the burpee, and they called it the same thing. I thought it was something the GP teachers made up to make us do when we were jacking around.

07/18/08 07:59 AM #114     Todd Chapple Yes, I was shocked that it was officially known as the burpee. I thought it was a name Mr. Brown and Mr. Schomacker concocted together. Classic. I presume the picnic table is still standing outside of Edgarburgers?? I would say I'll be there around 7:00. I'll be coming down from Hutchinson, playing golf that afternoon. You have my cell #, if not its 785-331-7970. Call me a little before that and I'll let you know my ETA. I will be having the double Edgar that night. Can't wait.
