We can never forget how talented he was at his game. I must say that WHATEVER he did, he did it with all that he had! He made every effort to be #1 at what he set out to do. I can personally apply that tenacity that he had to my life and be all that I can be and do it well. People will talk about you whether you do good or bad, however, don't let your good be spoken evil of. This brother was bold, confident, audacious, courageous, brave, daring, self-assured, and heroic all at the same time. No matter what negative things were attached to his death, he was king of his old world.
Yeah I agree 100%,If there is one thing that stands out in my mind about Pete is, when he transfered to Ashbrook right before football season had started during our senior year, and after the the game he came over to the locker room and congratulated us on our win over them, I've always said it took a lot of courage and to set aside his differences for him to do that.
Pete was a good friend and great person...I knew him since we were little growing up on Pryor street. Pete would do anything to help out a friend in need, he was like another brother to me. I too remember when he came over to the locker room after the game and congratulated us on the win during the Huss/Ashbook game in 89. As Danny said, it takes a special person to put aside their personal differences to say "job well done"...but you see this is the type of person Pete was...he hugged each member of the team and cried because he knew this would be the last game he played against friends/family. I wish he would have been able to finish his Senior year wearing that #2 Huskie Blue!! Pete my friend, brother you may be gone but you are not forgotten.
