Randy,
Thanks so much for this GREAT website and for posting your video and pictures from our last day at LJH. I must admit (my husband and) I've viewed the video several times. I have loved reliving that day through your video; but have not been able to access the photos (would love to go to those as well if I knew how). After viewing the video, I spent an hour (at least in August!!) in my attic looking for "the box" that had pictures, yearbooks, and of course the "notes passed in/out of class/during the day" that I have kept from people that I still consider friends even if I haven't spoken to them since 1975. Please know that this website is much more important to me than the GHS one is and I am extremely grateful that you have done this. Terry Williams proposed on the GHS message board a LJH reunion in conjuction with the GHS reunion. I would much rather attend a LJH gathering than a GHS one! Is that a real possibility??

Susan,

If you left-click on the picture link you should get a pop-up window that asks if you want to "run" or "save" the file. If you save the .zip file to your computer you should be able to "unzip" it after you download it. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll e-mail the pictures to you a few at a time. There's 30 in all but a few are class pictures from Braxton Craven Elementary so you might not want those.

After visiting the Grimsley reunion site I realized that it wouldn't be that hard to do a Lindley Jr. one. The hardest part was typing in everyone's name (I'm not that fast, you see...;). I've always felt closer to the friends I made at Lindley Junior. Hard to explain why but I guess it has something to do with the size of the class and the fact that we were all so much younger then.

Since the Smith(Sept. 20th)and Grimsley (Oct. 24th)reunions are so far apart I fear that some of the out-of-towners might get lost in the shuffle, but if some of you guys want to get together sometime in the future I'm all for it. Maybe the Sunday after the Grimsley reunion before everyone else leaves town (?) Anyway after we sign up some more people let's talk about it!

Hey guys, count me in on any reunion plans that come about. I would love to see everybody again.

I took a ride over to the old school on Wednesday. As many of you know, the old buildings were converted to apartments a long time ago. Since then they've added more buildings behind where the gym used to be, and what was left of the football field is now a parking lot.

I also rode around Lindley Park and the Anniversary Gardens. The old Craven school is still there, but the windows have been boarded up and they've posted no trespassing signs. They also put up a fence between the parking lot off Ashland and the Craven basketball courts so I guess they don't want anybody in there (there goes our kickball game!).

As of now I'm thinking the Sunday after the Grimsley reunion (Oct. 26th) might be the best time to meet up. Depending on the weather maybe we could do a casual get-together at Lindley Park and just hang out for a while. After that if a few of you want to come over to the house we could hang out there for the afternoon. It's not a big house, but it does have a full 1200 sq.ft. basement with a pool table, poker table and plenty of fridge space. I also have a decent-sized deck with a patio underneath so we can spread out a bit. If anyone comes up with a better idea please feel free to share.

I have had so much fun the past three days checking out this website. THANK YOU, Randy for all of your hard work. It is a blast to hear about everyone. I'm not sure I'll make the Smith reunion, but I will do everything possible to get to the Lindley shindig.

I've enjoyed doing it. The templates here at classcreator.com make it very easy to set something like this up. All I really had to do was type in a few names and scan a few pictures. Let's just hope these guys don't ever decide to pull the plug on this "free" service. How they make any money off this is a mystery to me...

Count me in for Sunday as well. I should be available all day for any and all activities. I'm really looking forward to it. By the way, I was curious about the details behind this Classcreator site. I did some digging and found out that it is located right here in Ann Arbor. I'm going to try to find the building and take a picture of me standing in front of it. I can't wait to catch up with everyone next month. Hello to all!

Terry,

I saw that as a mailing address on their web site. If you happen to run into anybody over there ask them how in the heck they make any money doing this. My guess is they're building a footprint on the web and once they have enough eyeballs you'll see click-through ads or something similar. Or maybe they're planning on selling to a 3rd party like Facebook did.

I saw somewhere on there that they make money by selling the URL (Domain Name) to the class for future use and I guess they will also host the site for a fee. I would love for us to have a place to keep in touch down the road. Depending on how much they charge we could use their service. We could also just register our own Domain Name. I have two different web host reseller accounts and would be happy to set up a site for us to use. I also have some software with with very similar tools to what is used on this site (Forums, Profiles, etc.). Did they say during the registration process how long you can keep the free site going? Between Randy, me and whomever else has the time and the know-how I'm sure we can put together something that we can keep for future use.
